Reasons for Being on the Island

• She is Zach and Emma's mother who was supposed to meet them in LA. She is working for Widmore in order to find her children.
• She was a "mole" sent on the Ajira plane by Widmore in order to help locate the Island, ergo, bringing Widmore to the Island in order to confront the Man in Black.
• Widmore brought her because he is interested in the pockets of electromagnetic energy. This is likely because Widmore wanted to talk with Jin, who managed the maps for these pockets.
• She was brought to the island to locate a pocket of energy that Widmore can use to make Desmond flash back in time. It has already been established that when exposed to a large amount of energy, Desmond can time travel (ie. the Hatch implosion). Widmore is going to use Zoe to find a pocket to once again make Desmond time travel to change something that happened in the past. Exactly what Widmore intends to change remains to be seen.
• she is an insignificant charector who does not matter what so ever.
• She was brought to the island to locate a pocket of energy that Widmore can use to make Desmond flash To the sideways timeline.
