Victor Lozano was the marine coordinator for the show, who helped advise and coordinate many scenes which involved boats and the ocean. He can be seen on the Season 2 DVD special on the set of "Live Together, Die Alone, Part 1", on Lost: On Location (Season 2), where he teaches Harold Perrineau how to drive the motorboat.
