Flight 815

I agree with you about the "815 survivors" vs "Flight 815 survivors," but you may be beating yourself up!<grin>--Jim in Georgia Contribs Talk 00:18, 17 March 2009 (UTC)

UQ

Hi.. in regards to the UQ "In what manner did Richard watch the survivors in 1977 die?" you changed it to something like "What else does Richard know about..etcetc" Now the reason I believe the first is more appropriate is that it is a question directed asked by the episode, which the show will definitely give an answer to very soon. Asking "What does Richard know" is too vague and was not posed by the episode. Thanks, I hope you agree? --Integrated (User / Talk) 08:56, 12 May 2009 (UTC)

The Others in Relation to the Swan

It has been stated and resolved that the Others did not know about the Swan. All they knew is what they saw in the video feeds from the Pearl. This this subject has been debated and gone over, and that was the conclusion (Which was exactly what the Producers said). --LOST-The Cartographer 19:01, 31 July 2009 (UTC)

  • Yes, I agree -- although that information may need to be looked at again what with some apparently contradictory information from S5; there seem to be discrepancies. Info on the Swan was in Daniel's ledger now owned by Elouise -- and Jack and Sayid also mentioned the Swan site in removing the Jughead's core, I believe, in front of Richard (I need to go check on this). For my own two cents as much as it's worth, it seems highly unlikely that the Others wouldn't have known about the station given it's size, that there were roads leading to it, etc. The Others would really have to be out-of-characterly naive not to have been keeping an eye on what DHARMA was up to. The site was being kept secret although it was known about by Radzinsky, Phil, Dr. Chang, the workmen, guards, etc. Hard to keep a secret with that many people in on it. Additionally - may be a prop issue - the prevalance of Swan logos on food and clothing across the Island would suggest the existence of such a station. The Others obviously knew about the Pearl -- and I suppose it's possible they may have known of the Swan, but not known where it was. One would think tho' that they'd send their people out to figure it out -- they have access to all the maps & plans of DHARMA, etc. Anyhow -- trying to keep the text open here in working on the page to reflect that. Edits to "Jacob" (November 30)

Saw your edits to "Jacob." Just wanted to say it's nice to see users actually working to improve the (often atrocious) grammar on these pages. Well done! --Cul-de-zack 23:06, November 30, 2009 (UTC)

Via Domus Canonicity

Hey Spiral77, although the storyline and characters of Via Domus are not canon to LOST, the island locations are 100% canon. This includes the DHARMA stations seen on the island (Swan, Hydra, Flame, Pearl, Staff, AND the Incident Room, lagoon, lake, and the second spectrum of the blast door map). The reason that these locations are regarded is canon is due to an interview with the game producers, and many official blueprints were given to the game's producers (specifically for the Incident Room). Please see Lostpedia:Canon and Lost: Via Domus#Canonical merit for more info. Thanks. -- CTS  Talk   Contribs 00:17, January 21, 2010 (UTC)

Hydra station monitoring Jacob's cabin

You added this to the Jacob's cabin article: "In 2004, one of the surveillance monitors at The Hydra is displaying an image of the cabin. ("Stranger in a Strange Land")". I removed it from the page and it was added back, so I've also left a message on User:TheSmokeMonster's talk page here. I'm not aware of any screencap or other evidence that shows Jacob's cabin displayed on one of the surveillance monitors. We need a clear example or confirmation from producers/production crew, otherwise it's just speculation and it shouldn't be in the article. -- Graft   talk   contributions  08:09, January 29, 2010 (UTC)

Yeah, I looked at all the instances where the monitors were shown (3x02, 3x04, 3x06 and 3x07) and didn't see anything that looks like Jacob's cabin (or any cabin). It all looks like cages, walkways, indistinct jungle, and one that appears to be a gate in front of a roadway. Honestly, I'd be surprised if they had showed it that early in the season anyway; the shooting location likely wasn't found until they started shooting 3x20. I think this was an insance of an editor putting something in an article based on guesswork, and it somehow slipped through the cracks for a while. -- Graft   talk   contributions  22:14, January 29, 2010 (UTC)

thanks

Most enlightening edit on the Swan page. --Lana hibner 15:37, February 13, 2010 (UTC)

miles speaking with the dead

Hi Spiral77 - I'm about to edit the UQ "Does Miles still retain the ability to speak to the dead?" First problem is it is a leading question in this form because "still" implies some continuation and in the FS we have no idea whether he has ever had this skill. Secondly as Miles is always at pains to point out in the original timeline he doesn't speak to the dead at all. He explains that he can tell how someone dies and pick up their last thoughts (Dr Linus). I'll reword the Q to accommodate those issues but really I don't see this as an UQ at all as the issue has not arisen nor does it seem to be relevant (yet).--Charles Kane 10:22, March 20, 2010 (UTC)

Pilot Part 1 and 2

Yes the centricity is specific, but the point is that it's centric to multiple characters (when taken as a whole-which it was produced and written as, if not aired as)-and so is LA X. --Golden Monkey 22:53, April 2, 2010 (UTC)

Boondocks4ever

Hey Spiral, What should we do about this guy Boondocks? He keeps removing relevant UQ, and refuses to explain why. I don't know which moderator to go to, but I figured since you and I are some of the largest contributors to the locations that maybe you had an idea. Thanks. --LOST-The Cartographer 16:18, May 29, 2010 (UTC)
