Sorry to bother you but for the Category: Lostaways it should be [[Category:Lostaways|O]] because your Username starts with an "O". Have a great day. Sincerely CaptainInsano .

Never mind I see you changed it while I type the message above. Sorry for wasting your time.--CaptainInsano
That's fine. Thanks anyway :) DanK 21:17, 5 July 2006 (PDT)

A Tale of Two Cities

Just wondering, why did you change the "Tale of Two Cities" flashback from Kate to Jack? Has this been confirmed? Just wondering about this, because in everything I have read so far, it is more than likely going to be Kate. Thanks. --Marik7772003 18:43, 12 September 2006 (PDT)

Kristen, from "Watch with Kristen", confirmed it in her last chat transcripts. She's being considered as a reliable source of information. Obi-Dan Kenobi 18:56, 12 September 2006 (PDT)

Your Signature

  • Your signature is messing up where it shows the formula of your signature everytime you save it. To see what I mean look at the message you type to Marik about Kristen from E!. There are a few simple steps to prevent this. Make a page called User:Obi-Dan Kenobi/autosig. On the page type {{User:Obi-Dan Kenobi/sig}}. Now go to your preferences and under "Nickname" put {{User:Obi-Dan Kenobi/autosig}}. Save your changes, when you save your changes, the "Nickname" will say {{SUBST:User:Obi-Dan Kenobi/autosig}}, that is fine. If you have any further questions leave a post on my talk page.--CaptainInsano 19:01, 12 September 2006 (PDT)
When I looked, it showed me my signature, and not the formula. But I guess there was a problem, so I followed your instructions and I did as you told. Thanks!  ODK Talk   Sandbox 19:28, 12 September 2006 (PDT)

FYI - you don't have to upload new versions of pictures just to make them appear smaller in an article. Wiki will resize the images if you pass that as a variable.

[[Image:female.jpg|50px]] results in Female.jpg.

Hope this helps. --   Jabberwock    talk    contribs    email   - 06:58, 20 September 2006 (PDT)

OK, thanks. I just thought that pictures in a portal should have their own "mini version". I guess I was wrong. Thanks again,  ODK Talk   Sandbox 09:02, 20 September 2006 (PDT)

Vandal Template

Do you think we should use this vandal template http://lostpedia.com/wiki/Template:Vandal2 instead of this one http://lostpedia.com/wiki/Template:Vandal .--Fan99 18:56, 15 October 2006 (PDT)

  • Can you please put a link to the source on the Blind Woman, Guard, and Trader pages?--CaptainInsano 16:22, 19 October 2006 (PDT)
    • Well, my source is the episode's Press Releases from ABC Medianet [1]. Should I still put a link to the source?  ODK Talk   Sandbox 16:38, 19 October 2006 (PDT)

Creating articles based upon rumour

Please do not create articles about rumoured characters in as yet unaired episodes. -- Plkrtn  talk  contribs  email  18:08, 19 October 2006 (PDT)

They appear in the episode's Press Releases from ABC Medianet [2], they are not rumoured.  ODK Talk   Sandbox 18:22, 19 October 2006 (PDT)

sorry for the inconvinience obi-dan, but where you find paulo and nikki promotional photos??? i search for that in lost-media, touchstone website, and i dont find them.. can you pass me the url of theese photos??? thanks, .:: Bra.gif zOn3 ::. 17:40, 23 October 2006 (PDT)

Thanks for helping out Obi, your edits are great. If you continue doing work on that today, maybe I'll just go from the bottom and work my way up, while you do Sayid and then work your way down? Less chance of us hitting one another with editing conflicts. Mucho gracias :) --PandoraX 15:20, 29 October 2006 (PST)

Again, great thanks, you've done an awesome job. Since we're meeting in the middle now, are you doing the last one or shall I? --PandoraX 16:54, 29 October 2006 (PST)

Hey Obi, thank you for the pictures you've tagged for us so far, but I've just gone through a couple of hundred pics and noticed you don't tag small images you upload, for portals. These still need doing though. This isn't any kind of matter-of-factly or anything, its just cause you upload quite a lot I thought I'd point it out to make my life easier (I plan to at some point wage war on the image database). Thanks very much though for all the pictures you have sorted, good to see someone doing it at least. Cheers, --Nickb123 (Talk) 16:53, 3 November 2006 (PST)

The Monster edits

Episode titles should go in quotes, and not in italics. See MoS. Also it is good practice to leave headings un-wikilinked wherever it is avoidable. Robert K S 04:46, 5 November 2006 (PST)

I know this doesn't mean that much, but I just wanted to say I think you've done some hella good work recently. One of Them and Fire + Water are two examples I've just looked at - I've been working on reorganising to the flashback-realtime formats, and I know how dull it is. Keep up the awesome work mate, --Nickb123 (Talk) 09:00, 13 November 2006 (PST)

Charlie Pace

The further rewrite of the Charlie article looks awesome, especially with the new pics. Keep up the good work! :) -- Liz

  • That's cool! One of my favorites is Kate, so you can usually find me tweaking her article! :) -- Liz
  • That's okay! I make a thousand and one spelling mistakes when I am editing. Yikes! :( -- Liz

  • Hey I saw you uploaded a picture from Lost-Media the other day. If could put {{Images To Be Replaced}} along with {{Tv-screenshot}}. I will take care of the rest.--CaptainInsano 09:24, 18 November 2006 (PST)

Article Attack

Congrats Obi, you did by far the most outstanding contributions to the Fire+Water article. In recognition, you get the AAA medal:

Congratulations again, you deserve it. Feel free to move the template to your userpage, or adapt it into an infobox like User:Nomad did if you wish. Regards, --Nickb123 (Talk) 10:49, 19 November 2006 (PST)

Re:Number of edits

The only way to know is to click "my contributions", set the number per page to 500, and count how many pages you have of edits. So for instance, three full pages means you have done at least 1500 edits, etc etc. Also, when you've found a place for the AAA template, please remove it from your talk page, otherwise it shows up on the recipients list (its just a thing). Cheers, --Nickb123 (Talk) 15:27, 19 November 2006 (PST)

Medal of Assistance

  • Congrats! I thought you deserved it, though you also got the AAA (since you have been doing a lot of tedious work on not just one episode rewrite, but on many... and done a great job with it). I ended up adding it directly to your userpage. Feel free to arrange either award to your layout preferences, or stick both on your talk page instead, if you want to preserve your old hatch look. --PandoraX 15:28, 19 November 2006 (PST)
    • Hey! I've done just as many episode rewrites if not more *cries like a baby*. Hehe just kidding - nah you have done a heck of a lot of work on em and helped fulfill my task this break of getting all of em up to scratch. You might be interested in checking out Category:Episode Levels by the way - I've tried categorising them into what needs doing etc for reference --Nickb123 (Talk) 15:32, 19 November 2006 (PST)

Quick Q

Hey Obi - are you going to be doing the realtime events for Lockdown? I don't wanna step on your toes by having a go at it, as I know I'd be peeved if someone interrupted my projects --Nickb123 (Talk) 06:58, 20 November 2006 (PST)

Don't you worry, these things happen. It shouldn't have even become an issue in the first place, its only that Nomad asked Pan instead of speaking to you first --Nickb123 (Talk) 13:58, 20 November 2006 (PST)

RE: Copying my user page

Hello Dan. I actually have no problem with using my user page or designs for inspiration, and I am always honored when other lostpedians find my designs worthy of following. However, what I only require is the normal etiquette of giving credit to the original design.

Thank you for your prompt removal of your copied design, although I do not mind that you keep yours if you want, as long as you modify it a little as well as to add a visible link somewhere to mine, like my link to Nickb123's page guide in my about me subpage, and thus you and me can concentrate on contributing more in Lostpedia than on personal side arguments.

Also I noticed that you have recently used the same format of my Image Copyright details that I add in every image..this in particular is absolutely fine, and I'm always glad to help on any other topics.

I trust your promise that it wouldn't happen again, and of course wish we have already talked on better circumstances. Regards-- 14:16, 20 November 2006 (PST)

Whole Truth

Sorry about the conflict. By the way, did you rewrite the flashbacks bit, or do you intend to? Want me to do pics or anything? --Nickb123 (Talk) 14:38, 22 November 2006 (PST)

I just thought it was a bit short compared to others, but it might just be that the episode was more inclined to realtime events. I know I did ATBCHDI a few days ago and that actually had very little happening in the flashbacks, so it was shorter than usual. Whatever though, I'll maybe go over it some time this week - if you're happy with it then fair enough I trust the way you do them. And as for pics, yeah I'll sort that by all means --Nickb123 (Talk) 14:48, 22 November 2006 (PST)
Also mate, when uploading the pics, just cut off the mark at the bottom ;-) - it makes life a lot easier --Nickb123 (Talk) 16:14, 22 November 2006 (PST)

Sorry to bother you again, just wanted to let you know that Nomad won this week's article attack, but that it was very close indeed to you and Marik, so I hope you'll continue trying with future rounds. Thanks, --Nickb123 (Talk) 13:04, 26 November 2006 (PST)

  • Sorry to be jumping in to your conversation like this. The safest thing would be to wait to the episode has aired before taking the watermater off.--CaptainInsano 17:48, 30 November 2006 (PST)
    • Hey, yeah I would if its LM or something, but ABC's press release do most of theres without any mark on. If you're ever unsure, its fine to just add the images to be replaced template on, and someone like Captain will later make a judgement call on it. Also, just remember though that promotional images require {{Promotional}}, instead of {{TV-screenshot}} --Nickb123 (Talk) 03:13, 1 December 2006 (PST)

s2 dvd

  • I have a series of production crew screencap requests off the s2 dvd extras, would you be interested in contributing to those? See this talk page. Any other crew members you find would be great as well, esp. those that curretnly lack an article. -- Contrib¯ _Santa_ ¯  Talk 20:51, 7 December 2006 (PST)

Thanks for going through all my images and marking them as to be replaced. I've been meaning to get round to cropping out watermarks all day. I'll get to it tomorrow. Sorry that you have to do this tedious task; I'm still getting used to the rules on here. :) --   Lost Soul   talk  contribs  11:06, 9 December 2006 (PST)

Believe me...

...I've looked. I couldn't find any promo pictures of Ben for the sections required unfortunately. It took me ages actually to find an Ethan one that wasn't in flashback too. I'll keep looking but can't find a promo shot of "Henry Gale" anywhere --Nickb123 (Talk) 10:15, 11 December 2006 (PST)

About AA, see the talk page on the nomination list. I've put my views to Marik, you can comment there --Nickb123 (Talk) 15:45, 11 December 2006 (PST)

Locations Template

  • Hi, just wanted to say nice work on the locations template. A good idea, I think. If you need any help putting it on pages, let me know. --   Lost Soul   talk  contribs  08:42, 30 December 2006 (PST)

Hi Obi, my logic for taking them off is more thematic, I think (though thank you, I didn't realize either had lines). For example, Jacob has no lines, but I don't think there are many who would deny that he is an important Other, because he made the list. To me, Matthew and Jason seem to be generic "strongman" type Others that are just lackeys when the scenes call for them... much as many of the redshirt survivors are relatively nondescript and interchangeable. Then we have Amelia, who is a very memorable Other, who is older and has a mysterious role, and Adam, who expresses an opinion as to whose side he is on. Neither Matthew nor Jason have seemed to do that so far, so that's my main reasoning. But I don't feel so strongly opposed to readding them, so you could go ahead and put them back in... I just think there's no more reason to do so than adding Neil "Frogurt" to the supporting characters page personally. --PandoraX 04:15, 2 January 2007 (PST)

  • Hah, well, I added them anyway. We can always trade them out for other Others if some more come out to the forefront later. As for Nikki and Paulo, I was having the same debate with myself. I guess for now, we could leave them where they are and see what kind of splash they make in the latter part of S3. I think a lot of fans still consider them redshirts begrudgingly, but the writers are trying to bring them forward; I'm not a fan of that tactic myself, but it's all up to how they write in their roles, I guess. :) --PandoraX 04:41, 2 January 2007 (PST)

The Object Template

  • Nice work, again. :-) Ive noticed some of the objects are a bit ambiguous; I just kinda went with what I thought would be best. Do you think you could go through the ones I've done and check them for me? Sorry to be a pain, --   Lost Soul   talk  contribs  06:22, 2 January 2007 (PST)

Season 3 Guide

DHARMA Infobox

  • OK, I was asking Dagg if there was a way of turning links into diff. colours (as with the black, blue doesnt go well), but feel free to put them up while Im waiting for an answer. --   Lost Soul   talk  contribs  11:16, 12 January 2007 (PST)

Your Season Things

  • Liked what you did with the Season sectionboxes in your sandbox (though I would change some of the colours). Are you going to put them up or not? --   Lost Soul   talk  contribs  09:23, 13 January 2007 (PST)
  • OK, great. I offered up two alternatives for Season 2, and I thought the other two were fine. What do you reckon? (my preference is the first one, for Man of Science, Man of Faith) --   Lost Soul   talk  contribs  09:59, 13 January 2007 (PST)
Yeah, I would also go for the first one. Now, do you think we need to find another shade of green for Season 3, or this green is fine?  ODK Talk   Sandbox 10:20, 13 January 2007 (PST)
  • I'd go for the pale gold (The first one) the second one (orange) seems to solid (if that makes sense). The lighter colour allows for it to blend more with the background, and not hurt the eyes as much. --Mr.Leaf 09:57, 13 January 2007 (PST)

S1 Episode Thingy

  • Sure, I've edited the template to use the Template:Sectionbox meta-template, and it seems to do what you guys wanted? I also added a 'season' argument. The background color will automatically change according to which season argument is passed to it. Hopefully this is close to what you envisioned.--Dagg 12:37, 13 January 2007 (PST)

  • OK, that shade was just too bright for me, I couldnt handle it. And more reds which arent too bright for people are more pinkish. Feel free to rv if you wish, was just an idea.... --   Lost Soul   talk  contribs  12:47, 13 January 2007 (PST)
  • No, I mean, if you feel it should be reddy, then this could work: #EEB4B4. It's a bit less dark than the current one but not eye-hurting. What do you reckon? :-) --   Lost Soul   talk  contribs  12:51, 13 January 2007 (PST)

New feature?

Hey, Admin's probably insanely busy with the update, but I thought you might know too. If you go to Special:Recentchanges, on some edits there's a number between the page name and the user making the edit. (+1), (+3457), and a (-1) on one of them. Any idea what those mean? I'm just curious. -BearDog 15:16, 26 January 2007 (PST)

That's okay, I think I figured it out. I think it's the size of the change in kb. If that's true, it's pretty useful because you can tell at a glance how much the article changed. Thanks for getting back to me though! -BearDog 15:21, 26 January 2007 (PST)

AA - Pickett

Hey Obi, you got the AAA for work on the Pickett article, congrats! Gotta say it was a close contest between you and Mr. Crabby, but you just nipped it I reckon. Feel free to move this over to your userpage, along with your already mounting number of medals lol. Later,

That's actually a good idea:D , I probably do that as soon as I finish some tasks at hand..btw, I'd also suggest to use the infobox for the Assitence Medal as well, to keep ur medals more stylish, like how Marik did for instence..that is if you want to for sure :D

I think I got the hang of one of ur problems, which I may assist with solving for now...to align the images at the top of ur page in one line remove "Left" from all images except in the first one (Goodwin), and they will all appear back-to-back

User page

Well, I'd really like to help you with that :D..I must admit though that unfortunately I'm currently so loaded that I don't want u to get ur hopes up yet...what I can promise is that as much free time I'd get on my hands, I'll attempt to pitch in with what I can, so what I'd suggest to maximize the gain of our collaboration in this job, that you write me things u wana do, like u wana keep it divided in borders like Nick's or if you wana add a table for ur info boxes like mine...etc ? So roam around user pages, and whatever u feel inspired by, but wana do it in ur unique style, just let me know of, and what I can do from this list of jobs I promise to get to as soon as I can :D -- 13:26, 29 January 2007 (PST)
