    • Awesome! Do you love or hate John Cena? --Amberjet11 14:49, 9 November 2006 (PST)
He is okay. Better than K-Fed. I guess I like him more than I hate him. He's no Triple H though.--CaptainInsano 14:50, 9 November 2006 (PST)
I haven't enjoyed Triple H since Eric Bischoff handed him the World Heavyweight Title out of a briefcase (circa September 2, 2002). And I think anyone's better than K-Fed (the 2006 answer to WCW champion David Arquette -- ugh!). I'm a huge RVD fan but I'm still mad at him for the DWI (how stupid!). Oh, and I think Edge and Randy Orton are working together now just to make *me* happy!  ;-D --Amberjet11 14:53, 9 November 2006 (PST)
The first WWE match I went to, and ever seen for that matter, was WrestleMania 2000. That is the one where HHH won against Big Show, Mankind, and the Rock. I been hooked on him (in a non-gay way) ever since. I like the Orton and Edge combination too. They are two great wrestler who hopefully will go very far in the business.--CaptainInsano 15:13, 9 November 2006 (PST)
  • Oh, was that the fatal fourway match that promised "a McMahon in every corner"? Loved it! That was also the first time Mick Foley wrestled as Mick Foley, and not as Cactus Jack/Mankind/Dude Love. I remember it well. I think of that time as a Golden Age for WWE, when we had strong babyfaces and heels and really cared about the matches. Trips always had good chemistry with Rock and/or Foley, too. Oh, and I think that was also the height of the McMahon-Helmsley era, or as Edge and Christian called it, the "facgime"!  :-D Ah, good times, good times...do you remember the Rock & Sock Connection? --Amberjet11 07:23, 10 November 2006 (PST)

Rivalries Article

Thanks! I was hoping you wouldn't mind. I'm usually a fan of Prose too, I was really just starting to outline things to make sure specific points were included (how the different rivalries started and ended especially). I thumbnailed the pic so your caption would show up. Take a look and see if that's what you had in mind! -BearDog 09:59, 13 November 2006 (PST)

No probs (sorry they were all pretty blurry), --Nickb123 (Talk) 12:42, 13 November 2006 (PST)

  • Thanks so much! It was one of my favorite scenes in season 2, and just perfect for the Rivalries article! --Amberjet11 12:43, 13 November 2006 (PST)
    • P.S. I find the first pic on that article hilarious. Jack looks very camp with a girly punch and a limp wrist --Nickb123 (Talk) 12:47, 13 November 2006 (PST)
      • I agree. And I'm not a fan of Jack (could you tell?), so I don't think it should be changed. :-D --Amberjet11 12:50, 13 November 2006 (PST)

Theory moves

Hi Amber, I wouldn't worry about the ones you've done so far, because I believe that is the way we are heading very soon. I was just fixing the mural page a little bit in the short term. For long term, I was going to request that Jabber write a note to the main page so that the general lostpedia community (who haven't seen the new theory policy implementations) know what the standard is; I figured we could start moving them, but it might be an uphill battle without a general written rule first, because people may keep writing more to fill the space. But I don't think it's a big deal if people want to start moving early, I have no problems with that myself, I would like to see this change myself. --PandoraX 08:35, 14 November 2006 (PST)

Box

AotW...really? Sad. Things must have been pretty slow. There is so much better stuff on this site, including many of you inputs. I hate to see it dragged down by "parody". Please don't take my anti-Parody stance as an attack on you. I just see it as detrimental to the site and yes I’ll say it, a form of vandalism. It contributes nothing and detracts from facts. --ASEO 14:29, 15 November 2006 (PST)

Hey, Who doesn't like Box? But does it belong here when it unlike the unfortunate bookshelf you mentioned has no factual valuable to the show? Catch you around--ASEO 14:37, 15 November 2006 (PST)

The thing with the bookshelf is that it is actually something in the show, and perhaps there might be a clue or Easter egg there in...unlike Star Wars...unless Jack has a Star Wars book on his shelf. One about Luke would be of prime importance to you. By having a article on his bookshelf, people are able to learn what info if any lies there in. With all the literary references in the show, the contents of a book shelf could have some value. It is kind of like an PhD dissertation. Whether or not you find what you are looking for, it is the fact that you did the search and did it well that is graded.--ASEO 11:28, 16 November 2006 (PST)

Fonts

Further to previous talk on font sizes, it seems like it isn't just Lostpedia. We think its a Windows update gone awry. Its true that the same problem is happening to me on other webpages. It seems to only be affecting Internet Explorer --Nickb123 (Talk) 07:49, 16 November 2006 (PST)

Woman (from Pilot), Rivalries edits

Amberjet, I have been considerably busy these past few days with doctor visits and haven't been able to make it to the post office, but I was able to sent the talent agency an email asking them about Barbara Vidinha. Let's cross our fingers and hope we hear a response from them! Here is was it said. (How does it sound?):

To whom it may concern:

I am writing to inquire about who Ms. Barbara Vidinha specifically portrayed in the pilot episode of Lost. The character that she played is credited on IMDB.com as "Woman (from Pilot)", although, interestingly, IMDb.com has a general role does not allow them to list extras and non-speaking roles. As no one has been able to spot her in the episode, is it perhaps that she had a speaking line that was cut in the final edit? Any response would be of the utmost help to me right now as I am attempting to gather infomation concerning Ms. Vidinha's bio on Lostpedia.com. I can be contacted through my email address at my@email.com. Thank you for your time.

Sincerely, My Name -- Liz

  • I haven't gotten anything yet, but I will keep you posted if I do. Also, does the rivalries page look any better with the new font size? I hope it works for you - I changed it from 10px to 13 px. -- Liz
  • Yes, thank you! The new size looks great! I was having trouble reading it before, but I still love the chart format. --Amberjet11 09:44, 17 November 2006 (PST)
  • Should I enlarge the sizes for the "Drop 42 allegorical characters...", "Who vs. who", "Origin", "Fuel", and "Resolved"? They are smaller than the rest of the text in the chart. -- Liz
  • Oh, that would be great, thank you! And is there a way to make the text justified instead of left-aligned? --Amberjet11 09:57, 17 November 2006 (PST)
  • Ummmm... I'm not sure about that, but I could try and see if it works! :) -- Liz
  • Yay~! You rock! You get the Bert Smiley for this! =<|:o) --Amberjet11 10:03, 17 November 2006 (PST)
  • Oh, thank you! One for you too! =<|:o) Does the Rivalries page look the way you wanted it to now? -- Liz
  • Yes, it's great! Thanks for working on this for me. I'm informally calling the article "my new baby" (its older sibling is the 3-in-1 fax/copier/printer in my office, as I'm the only one trained on its special features and paper jam removal and whatnot). A cat smiley (sorta): {=^+^=} --Amberjet11 10:14, 17 November 2006 (PST)
  • I just created a sandbox page for Rivalries = User:Liz/sandbox. You can go in and edit/mess with the bullets you were proposing to see what happens. -- Liz
  • Thank you! I just bulleted the first few, to see how it looks. What do you think? --Amberjet11 10:33, 17 November 2006 (PST)
  • Not as good as I would have hoped! Yeah, I think we should just leave it the way it is. Do you agree? (You or I could rewrite the sentences within "Fuel" to make them flow better...))-- Liz
  • Yeah, I'm thinking maybe prose form within each feud, and maybe highlight a word or two of each sentence to link back to the relevant episode. --Amberjet11 10:48, 17 November 2006 (PST)
  • I agree with you there. (Sorry, I had to hop away from my computer for a few minutes!) I'll start on it right away - I'll be testing it out first in the sandbox and then I'll take it and put it in the actual Rivalries page. -- Liz
  • I rewrote the feuds and added the episode links, so hopefully it should work now for you! :) -- Liz
  • Hi Liz! Thanks for all your hard work on the rewrites and reorganization. However, it looks like a few of the feuds were duplicated on the page (Michael vs. Locke, Danielle vs. Others, Danielle vs. Claire are the ones I noticed). I'll have to take some time to read all the way through it, to remove the duplicates. I love what you did with the episode links, too! --Amberjet11 08:35, 20 November 2006 (PST)
