What if Jacob fell into the light?
Assuming that The MiB was transformed into The Smoke Monster when Jacob threw him into the light in the cave as seen in Across The Sea, what do you think would have happened to Jacob if he were thrown into the light by The MiB? I was thinking that Jacob would have either have become a Black Smoke Monster like the MiB or a White Smoke Monster because he is a good person. Desmond's Childhood
We've seen childhood Flashbacks for most of the main characters except Desmond, why is that? I realize it may not be that important to the overall story, but when I was watching last night's episode of Lost I was thinking to myself "when is Desmond going to return to The Island?" This then made me wonder why haven't we been shown Desmond's childhood or more importantly who his parents are? I know it may never be revealed or may not be important to the overall plot of the show, but it was something that I was just thinking about. Any thoughts?--The Artist Formerly Known As Henry Gale88 07:25, March 10, 2010 (UTC)
Theories For What The Island Is

MiB and The Mysterious Kid in The Jungle
I know everyone seems to think that the mysterious kid MiB saw in the jungle in "The Substitute" was a young Jacob or an older Aaron. I agree with this theory, although i thought about it and I think it's also very possible that the kid could be someone from the MiB's past, someone we haven't been introduced to yet. Maybe this kid is a friend or relative from MiB's past who died and that's why it freaked him out when he saw him in the jungle. Another thing I thought about what the kid said to MiB "You know the rules. You can't kill him." When I heard this it seemed like he was referring to Sawyer, but I think he could be referring to Jacob, and what he meant was "You know the rules. You're not supposed to kill him." I think that MiB broke …
The Numbers and The Lost Experience
When I was watching the scene in "The Substitute" where MiB took Sawyer to that cavern that had all six of the Losties' names on a ceiling each represented by one of The Numbers, I immediately thought about The Lost Experience ARG. The Numbers made me think of the Valenzetti Equation and something I read on Lostpedia about The Lost Experience which says "The numbers, 4, 8, 15, 16, 23 and 42, are explained in the Sri Lanka Video, as the numerical values to the core environmental and human factors of the Valenzetti Equation. Alvar Hanso also states in the video that the purpose of the DHARMA Initiative is to change the numerical values of any one of the core factors in the equation in order to give humanity a chance to survive by, effectivel…
