Is it just me, or there really are a lot of inconsistencies between Season 5 and episodes from previous seasons? Let me just tell a few examples.

1) Rousseau. She said to Sayid that everything started at the Black Rock. The ship. Well, in season 5, it started at the outer wall of the Temple. Danielle stated her team dug out the hideout we see in season 1. Yet in season 5, there is no underground hideout whatsoever. Danielle lives on the beach, with her colleauges dead. And I hardly believe she made that bunker all by herself (including the electricity). And if we are talking about the shelter: remember that it had all sorts of furniture: bunk bed, table, locker, etc. So it was well supplied. How? Dunno, since the science team barely salvaged anything from the boat (a violin case, a couple of oil cans, all sorts of rubbish, but I don't remember seeing lockers, crates and stuff like that)

2) Miles' audition. He said he met Naomi on the boat. Yet in reality, he actually met her before that.

3) Miles' powers. He stated he need the body of the dead to feel their thoughts. Well, I don't remember seeing the body of that dead kid (the grandson of the african-american woman, Ms. Gardener, perhaps?). Besides, he tells Hurley precisely that he can't have conversations with the dead. He just sense the thoughts they had before they died. Well, in the season 4 episode I mentioned, I don't really think that was the case. Miles WAS clearly communicating with the dead kid. So either his powers got decreased by staying on the Island, or this is a major mistake in the show.

What's your opinion?

A.
