In the UK (Wales can also view lost on another dedicated Welsh channel called S4C), Lost is broadcast on Channel 4, Tuesdays at 10 p.m.

LOST: The Untold

Channel 4's website offers a flash interactive game of sorts for Lost. It lets you "Delve into the subconcious" of Lost and contains unofficial clues. It is extremely deep and is hard to complete. It was created by the design agency Hi-ReS!.

Season One UK Promo

The UK promo of the first season of LOST had the characters paired up as dancing partners. Foreshadowing is evident with details such as Boone and Claire dancing together (symbolising life and death), Locke and Walt conducting, and other details such as Kate swapping between Jack and Sawyer as her dance parter. It was directed (and presumably written) by David LaChapelle for Channel 4.

The promotional exists in two versions. The original was longer and set solely to music by Portishead, the other was cut down and edited to fit both background music and voice-overs from the cast:

Episodes

Channel 4 allowed Season One viewers to watch the following episode after the usual airing on a Wednesday night on their main digital television channel, E4 (Entertainment 4). The next episode would begin immediately after at 11:00pm. This has continued with season 2 and is expected to continue with season 3.

Season One to download

In the buildup to the airing of season 2, Channel 4 has made the entire first season available for download through their website for 99p each.

From 9 May–23 May 2006, the first 2 episodes (Pilot Part 1 and Pilot Part 2) can be viewed for free.

The video files are "only available to UK users" and expire 24 hours after they're downloaded.

Season Two

Channel 4, due to the unlimited revenue earned from their Lost catch, has decided to air Season Two sooner than originally scheduled; it will begin at the end of the final break of Season Two in America. Because of this, Lost will move from it's original 10 p.m. time slot on Wednesday to the same time slot on Tuesdays. The televised adverts for Season Two have met great anger from fans recently; as the main ad even includes Zeke's "this is our island" speech. Many feel the ads have completely spoiled Season Two, yet viewers who have not seen the season yet probably won't know what's happening.

One of the ads begins as follows:

This is a Public Service Announcement. On behalf of Channel 4, we can only apologise for the outcome of Lost Series One. If there was a metaphor for how we all felt at the end... this shaft pretty much sums it up. Why? Well, because like you we've put the hours in. We want answers too. Who are the Others? Will Jack and Kate ever get it on? Does anybody care about the polar bears? Well enough is enough! We've brought Series Two forward because, like you, we want to know what the hell is going on! (Begin flashes of the Hatch Clock, the attack of the tailies on the raft survivors, Desmond holding Locke at gun point, the "Quarantine" message, Kate going down the shaft, and the super bright light flicking on.)

You can watch the main ad online. (16 May 2006, link appears to be broken)

Further Channel 4 Promotional Mishaps

During commercials for the 6th of June '06 (6/6/06) episode The Other 48 Days Channel 4 aired a promotional trail for Lost, showing the elusive scene of Eko staring down The Monster. While it can be argued that fans will not know what these things are, they are still spoiling future episodes, outcomes, and character deaths. Channel 4 has received many complaints from these spoileriffic adverts, yet they continue oblivious. They now have seemed to stop showing adverts for LOST.
