Robert Greygrass
Robert Greygrass is an actor who played Thomas Mittelwerk, the central antagonist in The Lost Experience, an ARG which aired in the hiatus between Seasons 2 and 3. The following questions were submitted by members of the Lostpedia Forums, and were sent via email on August 4, 2008.
Lostpedia: How did you come to work on The Lost Experience? What were your first thoughts about such an innovative medium?
I was auditioned and cast. It started as just a voice over and headshots, for very little money. My agent told me to say no, but I do not refuse paid work. I am happy to do what I love to do.
Lostpedia: Were you ever told that you could appear on the actual show? Would that be something that you would be interested in doing? Do you prefer television or the internet game?
It is a unique way to do the medium. I had no judgments or thoughts either way. I just wanted to be a part of something fun and special.
Lostpedia: Was it a strange experience doing multiple audios and hand-held video sequences? One monologue in particular where you showed a DHARMA video and then discussed it with doctors lasted for quite a while and included a lot of specialist language - was this a challenge for you?
The whole experience was exciting, and doing what ever speech is asked of me is a wonderful challenge. I love my work and have also done my share of Shakespeare making most all other speeches quite rhythmic and easily accepted into my process.
Lostpedia: What have you done since working on the Lost Experience?
I continue to travel as a Lakota storyteller. In November, I did a five week tour in England. I perform in many storytelling festivals, at universities, and other special events around America, I continue to do theater as well. I am an active company member of Native Voices at the Autry in Los Angeles.
Lostpedia: Your last appearance in the game was an audio where Mittelwerk vowed revenge. Would you be interested in reprising your role in a future Lost project?
I would love to reprise Mittlewerk....bring him back and bring him on.....
