"The Hole Shabang" is an orchestral piece from the Season 6 soundtrack. A slightly abbreviated version appeared on Lost: The Final Season (Original Television Soundtrack) as a bonus track, and the full piece appeared on the final soundtrack release.

Scene description[]

After killing the Man in Black and making Hurley the new protector, Jack is lowered into the Source by Hurley and Ben to put the light back on and save the Island from sinking. An earthquake causes Jack to drop to the ground, where he finds Desmond and helps him up. Jack ties the rope around Desmond and tells him that he had done enough and should go home to his wife and son. Desmond asks Jack what will happen to him, and Jack says, "I'll see you in another life, brother."

Sawyer and Kate sail the Elizabeth to Hydra Island, where they find Claire sitting alone on the beach. After Kate convinces Claire that she can help her raise Aaron, the three of the them run for the Ajira plane. Frank, Richard and Miles are ready for takeoff when Frank sees Sawyer, Kate and Claire running towards them and tells Richard and Miles to go and get them on the plane.

At the Source, Jack puts the stone back into the hole.

On Hydra Island, Richard and Miles get Claire, Kate and Sawyer on the plane. Frank tells everyone to buckle up tight and revs the plane to full power until it takes off into the sky, and all onboard are happy to leave the Island forever.
