The Blue Danube is the second part of the Looney Tunes cartoon entitled A Corny Concerto that was released on September 25, 1943. It is a parody of Disney's Fantasia, and features an alternative version of "The Ugly Duckling". This same cartoon can be briefly seen in the first episode of Prison Break.

Relevance to Lost

Synopsis

Mother Swan and her three baby swans are swimming through the river to the song The Blue Danube. Young Daffy (the ugly duckling) tries to keep up with them only to be stopped by Mother Swan because of his looks. The Vulture then flies down the river and takes each swan, one by one, but rejects young Daffy. Daffy puts on a sign that reads "Rejected 4F".

When the Mother Swan realizes her babies are gone missing she desperately starts to look for them everywhere, but fails to find them. Baby Daffy finds the three baby swans and rescues them, killing the Vulture in the process. In the aftermath the Vulture can be seen in a typical angel costume - white robes, a pair of wings, a halo and a harp.

Finally, Mother Swan allows Daffy to tag along.
