delete

  • Delete - insignificant item. No reference provided for supposed citation in the text. Every minor prop should not have an article without other significance or justification. ALSO: Capitalization is wrong. As it is not a proper noun, it should be White tennis shoe. It also had multiple spelling errors which I corrected. -- Contrib¯ _Santa_ ¯  Talk 01:30, 17 September 2006 (PDT)
  • Keep: I don't know why the history has vanished, but this page is old. I remember it being delete nominated in the past and the outcome was keep. We liked its obscuity (sp?!) and also that it is in a way quite flair-ish and still a mystery - looked like a kid's shoe, but we don't know who's. It was specifically mentioned in the script for some meaning, whether its cinematic/metaphorical...we don't know. With no clear reason for it being there, its still commentworthy --Nickb123 (Talk) 12:17, 17 September 2006 (PDT)
  • Keep: I don't have a problem with this being kept. --   Jabberwock    talk    contribs    email   - 07:30, 18 September 2006 (PDT)
  • That's two to one, sorry, Santa. --SilvaStorm

Magic Shoes?

What?--NotARedHerring 12:28, 13 October 2006 (PDT)

Producer reference

- *I seem to remember someon like JJ or Damon mentioning that the fans missed a big detail somewhere in The Pilot, and that some fans subsequently deduced that this comment may be a reference to this shoe. Could someone find this reference and add it to the article? -- Contrib¯ _Santa_ ¯  Talk 14:53, 14 December 2006 (PST)

Merge

  • Merge: Why and why are there articles with limited text, two or three pictures, linked to a character of lost or even a place in lost. what is the meaning of having own articles which is not longer than that i write now. --Wilbraham Williams 08:44, 26 May 2007 (PDT)
  • Disagree:The meaning is they are all important things in the show. We are Lostpedia, not Wikipedia, our sole focus is Lost. If you disagree with the way we structure our wiki then sorry, but unfortunately that isn't going to change as it is the decisions of hundreds of wiki users. I would consider merging this article if it was to be merged with a reasonable article. Although the Christian Shephard article has no room for a small tidbit like this, it would be lost forever. Plus the connection is very slim. Just because it resembles the shoe worn by another character does not mean it is his. -Mr.Leaf 10:11, 27 May 2007 (PDT)
  • Disagree- For the reason above.--Phil (talk) 15:17, 28 May 2007 (PDT)
  • Disagree as per Mr. Leaf. --   Lost Soul   talk  contribs  01:23, 1 June 2007 (PDT)
  • Disagree: Same as above. Also, in one of the (last 10, i think) Official Lost Podcasts, it was discussed about the shoe. I'll try to find in which one was that, but i'm not sure if i can really find it. I think they said it was not Christian's and it was just pointing the fact that not all parts of the plane landed on the beach (as it appears in the very first episode). --   Steff    talk    contribs    email   13:20, 8 June 2007 (PDT)
  • Disagree Lost is one of those shows in which every detail, as microscopic as it may seem, could have a significant role in the storyline. Keep them seperated; --Gateboy42 13:22, 8 June 2007 (PDT)
  • Disagree What a stupid idea to merge this article with Jack's dad... I'm removing the merge tag. --Kemot from Poland 05:30, 13 June 2007 (PDT)

Jacob's cabin

Are we sure we saw "Christian wearing THE OTHER white tennis shoe"? Andreapasotti 09:17, 29 March 2008 (PDT)

  • Pretty sure, actually. It sounds like this was just going to be a throwaway white tennis shoe hanging in a tree, but since that time the producers have sort of ret-conned it into being a Christian Shephard reference. Although, here's a mystery for you. If this is Christian's tennis shoe, why is he wearing BOTH shoes mere moments before Jack wakes up in the jungle and starts running around, when he's talking to Vincent? Continuity error, or perhaps it's not Christian's shoe after all... the plot thickens... Evil-pineapples 19:15, 30 March 2008 (PDT)

Raven Paradox

Why is the Raven Paradox information on there? That supposed paradox has nothing to do with white tennis shoes. It's about black ravens. The use of a white tennis shoe as an example of a non-white non-raven, which confirms that all ravens are black, is not important. And if it were, what would be the significance in relation to Lost? They mentioned the white tennis shoes in this episode. Something like Jack just gave his dead father the white tennis shoes instead of nice ones because he didn't think anyone would see his feet right? Anywho, worth mentioning in the article.--Mistertrouble189 03:46, 19 February 2009 (UTC)

Other scenes with the white shoes

There is at least the scene with Sun and Lapidus in S5E10 in Dharmaville.

Christian has the black shoes on when he meets Locke at the Frozen Donkey Wheel

Christian is wearing white tennis shoes as he opens the door to heaven in the finale. Cyberia1 04:28, May 27, 2010 (UTC)
