Is this page needed?[]

I think this page is, in effect, a fancy disambig page with no real info. I think the list of American users would be better served through users putting a category link on their homepages to nationality if so desired (e.g. [[Category:American]]). Is there anything else here that couldn't be replaced with a disambig page?--Jajasoon 10:50, 11 August 2006 (PDT)

yes, to keep a uniform structure throughout the wiki this page is needed (along with UK, Mexico, etc...)--Kman       talk contribs                   10:53, 11 August 2006 (PDT)
Yeah, I agree with koolaidman. That is why I made it.--CaptainInsano

Personally I think that we don't need the american users list. We have one in the other fan locations because Brazil started and Mexico followed suit, It will never be complete as the vast majority are from the US in comparison to the rest of us international users. It will either be incomplete or too cumbersome. --†††GodEmperorOfHell††† 12:24, 11 August 2006 (PDT)

So you are saying we can't have one because their are to many American users. I am sorry but wasn't Lost first broadcasted in America. Of course we are going to have a lot of American users. If you take one away you must take all way, because I won't stand by and the United States of America be the only country page were users can't put there name on an Users List.--CaptainInsano
Before we start a Mexican/American border skirmish here, this is why I think that user lists should not be on the country pages. There are no such lists on UK or Australia (even thought we've got many users from there). If all American Lostpedians signed onto this list, it would be huge. I think the solution is either to create one page for Nationality of Lostaways, where each country can maintain a list if they so please, or to create categories for each nation that can be added to each user's page. --Jajasoon 13:25, 11 August 2006 (PDT)

well, i said "i think" hoping for one of you to contradict me. 'Fan locations' implies that it is a page giving away the location of fans, The US users are like, the default setting. All the rest have to specify where we are from. I guesstimate there are five of you for every one of us. jajasoon might be right and we may need an entry for our nationalities. have you seen the number of brazilian lostaways?--†††GodEmperorOfHell††† 19:12, 11 August 2006 (PDT)

AMERICA RULES YOU BACKWOODS RETARDED CREEPS!—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Jcc1033 (talkcontribs) 15:44, 12 August, 2006 (UTC).

I know, Captain, the history of this entry won't let you lie. That guy is sooo banned. --†††GodEmperorOfHell††† 14:52, 12 August 2006 (PDT)

  • Instead of putting the signatures on the country pages how about something like this:
En-us This user is an American.

  • If you click the word American it takes you a catergory. But if we do this for one country we must do them for all.--CaptainInsano
  • Good Idea! --†††GodEmperorOfHell††† 18:08, 15 August 2006 (PDT)
  • Ditto - excellent idea. We have flags for most countries on their pages, right? So can someone with more wiki savvy than I (i.e. almost anyone) make a template for Template:Nationality with some instructions for how folks could plug it in easily to their user pages? Great solution... --Jajasoon 20:27, 15 August 2006 (PDT)
  • I've been making a few so far... Canada , Australia hope it's ok that I'm doing this... if not, I'll stop. --Marik7772003 21:50, 15 August 2006 (PDT)

Ratings[]

I noticed that the Ireland page has ratings of all the episodes of Lost aired in Ireland. Is it at all possible to gain this feature for the United States page? I only ask such an obvious question (obviously we COULD put it on) because I can't find any place that still has ratings from September 2004 up through present-day. Is it even worth it? It would be cool if we could have it. David 18:34, 25 January 2007 (PST)
