www.thehansofoundation.org really needs its own cat, imo. i've linked some of the pages with easter eggs from the main page... but this is gonna take a while to sort out, i think. consider my world rocked. :P --kaini 19:48, 2 May 2006 (PDT)
Joop's messages[]
After one has initially gained access to "Joop's Webmaze", one can enter any message to get back. I got in on the nth time by entering "Get your stinking hands off me you damn dirty ape!". The site prolly gives out a cookie after certain parts of it have been "cracked". --skks 23:03, 2 May 2006 (PDT)
- Actually, it saves the flash session on your drive by default, so once you've gotten into the section you can get back in no matter what you type in. Even clearing cookies won't reset it. If for some reason you wanted to start the site over from scratch and enter everything in again you would have to load the site, right click & choose settings, click on the folder tab and set the slider for local storage to 0 (left) then back where it was previously (usually 100).--Isotope23 11:26, 4 May 2006 (PDT)

The man pictured behind Joop's webcam is the same picture used on the Mental Health Appeal page at Hansofoundation.org
Sort[]
Hi, might i suggest we divide this article up into different sections, one looking at each section of the website individually, listing everything that is "normal" and having any "unusual" ARG activity linked off into another, dedicated, article. As it stands, the easter eggs are all related to the ARG and are better served elsewhere.--Arcon 13:39, 3 May 2006 (PDT)
October 28th[]
The picture of the aurora in the Electromagnetic Research Initiative section is dated October 28th 2001.
The picture of Alvar Hanso (which the film states is from the 1980's) is dated October 28th 2003.
- Persephone noticed that the quality of the photo (and most likely the date) didn't quite match up the other photos on the page. Hence, she got suspicious.

The hyperlinks in the PDF are not intentionally placed - they are a function of Adobe Reader's auto link function. It creates a link whenever it sees something that looks like a URL or email address. That's why the link for Hugh McIntyre's address drops off the "Hugh." at the beginning - Reader thing's that the . is the end of a previous sentence and that the actual email address starts after that. I've examined the PDF in an editor and there are no actual hylerlinks in it. I also suspect that's why the blue link text and underline continue into the phone number - the authoring application saw what looks like an email address and is using spaces as the boundaries of it. BladeHamilton 11:18, 8 May 2006 (PDT)
Phone number on Press Release/Voice Mail[]
at the bottom of the press release is a phone #: 206-861-5017. the 206 area code is western washington state, and more specifically seattle. i called the number and got a message stating that the voice mail box for hugh mcintyre was full, and to either page or try back later. i gave it my phone number. we'll see what happens i guess. :) --firesign 15:27, 5 May 2006 (PDT)
Has anyone tried cracking McIntyre's voicemail password? The option comes by pressing asterisk when the automated voice starts. I've tried but have yet to be successful - I've tried HUGH (4844), JOOP (5007), and 1824. --outride
- I can't get my phone to get into his mailbox for some reason, but if anyone can and this option is still available, it'd be worth trying 2630 as a password. BrightStars1212 07:27, 11 May 2006 (PDT)

Cluttered[]
The article is looking pretty cluttered. I know there's a lot going on in regards to the site, but can we put the blatant speculation and reprinted easter eggs on their respective article pages and maybe clean it up a bit. Link the images to the sections/pages they pertain to and make this article into more of a link collection for all the articles that have something to do with the website. That way all section specific easter eggs can be kept on the pages that they are relevant to. --Arcon 11:39, 7 May 2006 (PDT)
Can the blatant speculations be deleted? thf.org would appreate not being linked to LOST. --Techiedavid 12:58, 7 May 2006 (PDT)
I think this needs to be chronological in some way, because either people are going to 1) come here for updates and want to see what's been discovered, or 2) they'll be new and they might want to play through the game. Dunno if a wiki is really the ideal template for something like that.--Bremerton 12:07, 8 May 2006 (PDT)

May 8th's clue:[]
After decoding the newest message at http://persephone.thehansofoundation.org, the date is actually May 8, and they have updated the site today. Persephone will tell you that Alvar Hanso has not been seen since 2002. You can see the flash if you go to Executive Bios, and click on the date under Alvar Hanso's picture.
Linking to the phone line conversation, Alvar Hanso appears to be missing. The lady asking where has Alvar Hanso been gone may be Persephone.

- I still can't get it to work for me, I've tried deleting all of the information websites have left on my computer with the macromedia applet, I'll try from a different location later. It might be something to do with me being in the UK maybe? They could present different flash sites do different visitors so that they would stay in tune with the series. images used on the hanso foundation site are stock photos[]
The images used on the site are stock photos; most (if not all) of them are from Getty Images. For example, the hidden image (the doctor) of the Joop Cam is from Getty (http://delivery.gettyimages.com/xc/57226867.jpg?v=1&c=CFW&k=2&d=5B8938FD97D65F5C29E8D254B4370371).
--Chatake 10:19, 9 May 2006 (PDT)
- Also, all of the Exec Bio's images except Alvar Hanso are stock photos. I have yet to find the stock photo of Thomas Mittelwerk.
- --Chatake 10:31, 9 May 2006 (PDT)
- The major implication of this is that none of these characters will appear in the tv show. Is this meta do you think? Or are we supposed to figure out that the whole organisation is puppet? --RadioElectric 12:25, 9 May 2006 (PDT)
- The implication I think is that none of the images except Thomas Mittelwerk, Alvar Hanso and Liddy Wales (who has no image in the Bio) are clues to the game. Thomas Mittelwerk is not a stock image...The quality of his photo is poor like the Hanso image, and unlike the other stock photos. So, there may not be any significance to the hidden image of the man in Joop's cam image. Besides, Thomas Mittelwerk is the only one other than Hanso who has a signature in his bio -- Chatake 13:23, 9 May 2006 (PDT)
- If this is in fact the case, who are the voices posing as Hugh McIntyre and Peter Thompson when we call the Hanso Phone Line? Hugh and Peter exist audibly, but visually they're blatant facades. I doubt the use of Getty is a clue so much as poor production value choices. Were Hanso a real organization, as we're supposed to believe for purposes of disbelief suspension in fiction, Hugh and Peter would not be able to hide behind fake pictures. They'd be well known among the wealthy elite community at the very least, if not regulars on the evening news. I mean, people would KNOW the pictures on the website were fake. They'd recognize the real men in public. Then again, maybe the "we have to put a public face on all this" reference in the phone call recordings is more dubious than originally thought. ZachsMind 09:22, 11 May 2006 (PDT)
May 09, 2006 Change to Alvar's Exec Bio[]
On the odd free moment at work, I checked the RSS feed from thf.org, and there was an listing stating that there was a update to the bio. Looking at the page, it now appears to have been defaced in the same way Persephone has been marking up other pages. Can someone with a little more time take a closer look at that page? PanSavant 13:33, 9 May 2006 (PDT)
I think that every time you "run" a clue (Joop's webmaze, Alvar's bio) the page you got there from then begins to show the fading text and black squiggles, as if the facade of The Hanso Foundation is cracking....
OB:EY[]
I went to the hanso biography page, and the clock said "OB:EY" instead of numbers. When i clicked on it, it was sent to this page: http://www.sublymonal.com/
Clicked randomly on the squarish things, and unlocked the 'sublymonal message' which was "heir apparent". (Saxman13ga 15:59, 9 May 2006 (PDT))
- once you have visited the http://www.sublymonal.com/ website go back to the Bio of Dr. Thomas Mittelwek a box has now appeared type "Heir Apparent" into it to reveal a new..and rather scary clue...
- The newest clue is that Thomas Mittelwek is a fake and he never went to Caltech. The site sublymonal.com is not registered by ABC, the registrant is BSSP. It just shows that game-related sites are not necessary registered by ABC... -- Chatake 16:34, 9 May 2006 (PDT)
- Did anyone else have to open a new THF.org window to make the clue work? LOSTonthisdarnisland 16:39, 9 May 2006 (PDT)
- After searching the CALTECH website http://www.caltech.edu/ i can not find anything yet, and Thomas Mittelwerk does not turn up in any of the employe searches either.. is Caltech a real place? -- unsigned by Salmon--
- I think you will need to wait at 4, 8, 15, 16, 23, 42 minutes in order to see the clock change. As for CALTECH, it is a real place...it is a really famous university/college in the States. -- Chatake 16:54, 9 May 2006 (PDT)
- I was able, however, to open a new THF.org window and the text box was still there to enter the clue.LOSTonthisdarnisland 17:23, 9 May 2006 (PDT)
- It's worth noting that the number of times you have to click the monitors for this clue/puzzle/whatever corresponds to the numbers. Adding this to the article... -- C13 18:56, 9 May 2006 (PDT)
Apparently, there is another Hanso Foundation ad on ABC yesterday night. It said "Brought to you by Sprite, with the Sublymonal.com URL and the 1-877 number". In the Hanso Phone Line, there is also an ad about Sprite. -- Chatake 09:41, 10 May 2006 (PDT)
Lost Experience Clues[]
Would anyone object to moving the major part of the 'Easter Eggs' section to Lost Experience, as they are more clues than Easter Eggs. This will also allow all the clues to be viewed in one place, and work well if other websites become involved. We could update the bios and the Foundation articles with just a brief notation of the changes that affect those articles. LOSTonthisdarnisland 17:23, 9 May 2006 (PDT)
- I moved them to their own page. I think that with subLYMONal addition, there will be other websites involved. It makes sense not to clutter this article unnecessarily. LOSTonthisdarnisland 23:16, 11 May 2006 (PDT)
Read Her Lips..[]
Can anybody read the lips of the lady who introduces us to the Hanso website? I know she must be saying something different from the audio. It can't just be lag. However I can't prove it. ZachsMind 07:27, 10 May 2006 (PDT)
- Yes. The audio and video are out of sync. LOSTonthisdarnisland 23:01, 10 May 2006 (PDT)
- They're not just out of sync in a manner that indicates lag or poor production. Throughout the animation there are seconds when her voice lines up perfectly with her mouth, then suddenly she's out of sync, and just as suddenly she's right back again in sync. It is as if at some points what she says and what we hear are identical, but in a couple places her mouth is saying something that the voice is not saying. I'm certain this is intentional. I just can't prove it because I can't read lips. ZachsMind 09:13, 11 May 2006 (PDT)
- I can read lips, and while you are right that the sync falls in and out, she is only saying the words we hear. I think that it is more likely that the person and the voice are two different people, each with different speaking speeds. On a related note, does anyone else think that she looks like Claire's friend, Rachel? Ironic that Rachel was played by Jenny Chang, but Rachel's voice in the episode was India Dupre ([2]) LOSTonthisdarnisland 23:26, 11 May 2006 (PDT) Never mind. On closer examination (reviewing the episode again), they only have a very superficial similarity) 00:22, 12 May 2006 (PDT)
Hanso Sightings Discrepancy[]
Has anyone mentioned that the dates of the Hanso Sightings aren't quite chronological? The second Copenhagen trip on 1/1/01 is mentioned after Paris (23.03.2001), Geneva (12.07.2001), and Roma (18.9.2001). I've been racking my brains to see if there is any sort of code buried in the dates or place names, and while I've found some funny codes (turning the months and dates into letters and rearranging them gives you the message "grab flan, we kill", perhaps the Others are simply trying to defend their dessert?), I haven't been able to form anything relevent or helpful... am I just sleep deprived and chasing down a red herring, or does it seem like there might be something there? --Beardog4314 12:25, 10 May 2006 (PDT)
- I'm wondering if 01.01.2001 - Copenhagen is a typo that should have been 2002. This would place it back in chrono order, and make a bit of sense (many people write the wrong date on the first of a new year). However, this date may be intended to stand out for some later revealed reason. LOSTonthisdarnisland 23:31, 10 May 2006 (PDT)
- For one thing, it's highly unlikely that Persephone is one of the others. To quote a wanker; "everything here happens for a reason", so there might be something in the dates. --skks 00:04, 11 May 2006 (PDT)
- I don't think she is one of the Others either. More likely, she is a Hanso whistleblower. LOSTonthisdarnisland 00:45, 11 May 2006 (PDT)

Link?[]
Does anyone know anything about this?
On the site, there IS some kind of link or action button... it doesn't seem to do anything though except for change the lights. I'll explain.
On, it seems, any page, there is an action button/link/whatever, it's at the bottom left just off of the main box.. if you simply tab through the links, it will be shown to you. It doesn't seem to have any effect as far as I can tell but when you push it, it definitely makes the lights in the backgound move.
What is this for, if anything?
--Webbskinner 08:38, 11 May 2006 (PDT)
- Might just be a random fun thing that the creators of the site put in. I haven't noticed anything unusual about it. ArgentiumOutlaw 14:44, 11 May 2006 (PDT)
- Sure, but do you not see that (once they stop moving) clicking it causes them to move again?... They change around naturally, I think.. but if they are static, that will cause them to move. Hanso Careers[]
For each of the five careers, I noticed two letters were a lighter shade of grey. In order, they read: "nslumem Aya."
