Oh please no. Anything but The Stand. It's simply a horribly long and drawn out apocalyptic tail that doesn't end.

It is accually quite good, if you have the time and the mental capability to read an 1000+ page book.

The 1000+ page edition is the unedited version. There is a much shorter version of The Stand which you can buy if you don't have the "time" and/or "mental capacity" to follow characters for 1000+ pages. --Etscrivner 20:23, 16 July 2006 (PDT)

Should This Be Deleted?[]

It seems to me that the description and synopsis is just an overload of unrelated stuff. I've started compiling a Lost-King similarities list in King's page and linked any Stand references to Wikipedia's page. Does anyone agree?--Mighty Rearranger 07:53, 30 August 2006 (PDT)

I would say keep. Unlike The Dark Tower the influence and similarities are more obvious and detailed.--Tricksterson 09:17, 30 August 2006 (PDT)
Alright, although I still think that the synopsis is a bit too much. People don't need to read the whole plotline to understand character similarities. Just my opinion though....--Mighty Rearranger 09:26, 30 August 2006 (PDT)

The Truth of Lost[]

I believe I know the truth behind Lost, or at least all these connections. I saw a line, "the writing team/producers always have a copy of 'The Stand' laying around in the idea room." I base evidence on a simple test, put a copy of Planet of the Apes (movie and book) somewhere in their writing room, and I guarantee some mention of a primate will appear in next weeks episode.
