I would like to develop a theory that the Others come from shipwrecks over the years. Why I think this is one, the island seems to attract crashes like the bermuda triangle, even if a limited number. And two, these are obviously not polynesians or any tropical ethnicity.

If they were just some original british expedition, in what way are they the "original" inhabitants when there are far more ancient ruins around than that... Harcourt 11:44, 24 February 2009 (UTC)

I think everyone on the island has come, through the ages, through shipwrecks, plane crashes, and Narnia-like transportation because they have been selected by the island. No one bears children conceived on the island so there cannot be a continuing civilization. The group of Others is too Caucasian, not multiethnic enough to be random transportation from all over the world, so it's probably mainly Americans recruiting other Americans on offers of fixing their problems, like Dogan's recruitment. -PolarBearSkull 00:49, March 18, 2010 (UTC)

Did the others move too?[]

If got a question, but I'm not sure if this is the right place to post it. Did the others move too? I thought not, because when John moved, the others were gone. But Richard met John, right after a flash, when he said that he has to die.
