About canon.[]

I know that the game is not "canon" (especially the story), but shouldn't the incident room be an exception? My four reasons for this are:

1. We know this place exists in the story.

2. The look and design came from never before seen blueprints given by the Lost crew for the game developers.

3. The Darlton said the story wasn't canon. not necessarily the places.

4. The only reason Darlton agreed to do a game was strictly for exploration of the Island. The said they wanted people to be able to see places in the game that either weren't going to appear in the show or that people didn't get to see enough of.

With the factors in mind I call a vote to make the incident room a deutro-canonical page. The place itself as canon but not Elliot's visit to it or any other part of the story. All in favor say Aye. AYE! --The Cartographer 09:44, 7 May 2008 (PDT)

There are two aspects of Lost: Via Domus that should definitely be concidered canon. The Blast door map (Via Domus) should definitely be canon since the producers stated that there is another part to the canonical blast door map seen in "Lockdown". This "other section" to the map is seen by Elliott in "Forty-Two". Therefore, this segment of the non-canon videogame should be canon as per the producers comments. The other aspect of Via Domus that should be canon is the Incident Room. The Incident Room was seen on the blast door map in "Lockdown", so we know that it existed in Lost. Also, Desmond said there was a reactor behind the concrete wall in the Swan. This reactor was seen by Elliott in "Hotel Persephone". Elliott's visit to the Incident Room should not be canon since that is part of the storyline, but the location itself existed in the show, which makes it canon. Although the characters, storylines, plots, and locations of Lost: Via Domus are all non-canon, these two aspects should be canon due to what is seen in Lost and the producers' comments. -- CTS  Talk   Contribs 18:19, 30 October 2008 (PDT)

Name[]

Is the name of the room, "The Incident Room", been used by the game producers or TPTB, or is it a fanmade name? --Blueeagleislander 21:27, 14 November 2008 (PST)

I think it is a fan name. Maybe we should rename it like Electromagnet lab, reactor room etc. TPTB have hinted that it was a laboratory. --The Cartographer 08:42, 15 November 2008 (PST)

Destroyed?[]

The status was changed to destroyed (imploded) but is that the case? The crater seems fairly small and in "The Lie" we see that hatch door (original) was at the center of the crater. Given the size and layout of the station i'd say most of it including the computer room and the reactor room is intact. Hugo815 19:12, 4 February 2009 (UTC)

  • Agree. It was likely several hundred feet away from the live-in section of the Swan, which is more than likely the part that was destroyed.--LOST-The Cartographer 19:23, 4 February 2009 (UTC)
  • The Incident Room definitely imploded. The reactor was the cause of the system failure, so turning the fail-safe key would definitely destory the electromagnetic reactor. -- CTS  Talk   Contribs 02:21, 7 February 2009 (UTC)

Desmond mentioning the reactor.[]

  • When exactly did Desmond mention the electromagnetic reactor? Sorry if that seemed like a stupid question.
    • I agree with you (whoever you are), I follow Lost religiously, and I have never heard of Desmond mentioning this before. He never mentioned it at the start of Season 2, seeing as though he ran away then, and he never mentioned it at the end of that season, seeing as though he was drinking and only went back to the station with Locke to stop Eko from pressing the button. That's the only time he could've mentioned it, I have season 3 and 4 on DVD and he says nothing about it there, so I'm going to remove that line. --Pluvia 19:48, 20 March 2009 (UTC)

Doubt this is canon[]

After tonights episode all we see is that there was drilling, no suggestion of any other room being built. We know they cover the pocket with cement but I don't think there is any other room being introduced.. It seems the writers have gone ahead and ignored this. Should it still be connected the The Swan page? Burgerking 04:14, 14 May 2009 (UTC)

  • And why would they need a generator creating electromagnetism anyways considering the pocket seems naturally full of it ...--Andy22li 09:21, 19 May 2009 (UTC)

Incident Room[]

There is an advert on Sky1 with Sayid going into the Incident Room and it looks the same but with some different features will this mean that we will see The Incident Room in season 6 --Woodsy123 16:01, 28 May 2009 (UTC)

  • Could you please give a link or something to give some proof of what you've said? It would be very much appreciated. --LOST-The Cartographer 15:41, 29 May 2009 (UTC)
    • I've seen the advert, but I'm pretty sure that it was just the Lamp Post, not the Incident Room - they would've have filmed a Season 6 scene this early, they wouldn't have constructed a set for the Incident Room as it was not in Season 5, and after "The Incident" it's looking to be non-canon anyway...--BADavid 20:40, 17 June 2009 (UTC)
  • Whoa, whoa, whoa. Back up a sec guys. That advert is NOT associated with the show in anyway. It is just an ident ad featuring Naveen Andrews, because he appears in Lost and is British. The Sky logo starts to act like the smoke monster...which is just a little nod towards Lost. The room is not linked to anything in Lost, it is NOT the Incident Room or the Lamp Post. It started being shown way back last year around September when they changed the channel logo. There is no way that they filmed it on the actual set of Lost.--Baker1000 20:57, 17 June 2009 (UTC)

In Lost[]

Wouldn't this be the place where we see Juliet in "The Incident Part 2" and "LAX Part 1?" I mean this room is supposed to be the source of the Incident, and in "The Incident Part 2," all metallic objects were being dragged to the source of the electromagnetic phenomena, which Daniel said was sealed off by thick concrete walls. This seems to fit the criteria for the incident room, although the only times we see it in the show are before it's even built, and after it's destroyed. –Nahald 16:57, February 25, 2010 (UTC)

I've been pondering the same thing since the episode aired too Nahald, and I agree. --LOST-The Cartographer 03:18, February 26, 2010 (UTC)
