Other Sections

Can anyone think of any other sections that would be useful for this article? --Nickb123 08:24, 7 June 2006 (PDT)

  • It should be noted that Locke has intentionally or otherwise seen more secrets of The Swan (and The Pearl among others) than any other character. 1: Door map; 2: Near system failure; 3: Complete system failure. He has been the stalwart "button pusher" also. НародныйАртист 08:44, 7 June 2006 (PDT)
    • Done a little editing to mention it --Nickb123 10:52, 7 June 2006 (PDT)

You could add something about Desmond, Kelvin and Radsinski --Peephole 02:20, 8 June 2006 (PDT)

Idea

Would it be okay if I made each 'Visited/Aware of, etc.' message a link that takes you to the episode the character first visited the location? I think it could be a really cool idea, and you can mention it above the chart. --SilvaStorm

That sounds like a damned good idea.--NotARedHerring 11:53, 27 September 2006 (PDT)
Sounds like a good idea: an idea (nothing to do with the table) I had is to have this page by character, not station. That way, we could address exactly when or how the character has visited or has knowledge of the station, for example:

Hurley

Hurley first visited the Swan in Orientation, and has gone back frequently throughout season two. This is the only hatch he has ever visited.

Hurley has knowledge of two other hatches. The first is the Arrow, which he knows about due to the fact he took Bernard's radio which was found there. The second is the Staff, due to the fact that he heard when Kate mentioned it in Live Together, Die Alone.

The Door

Sun and Jin are aware of The Door's existence, correct? In that case, shouldn't they be listed on the chart as having done so?

We don't know if Sayid has told them or not. They wouldn't be able to see it from the Elizabeth.--CaptainInsano 11:54, 27 September 2006 (PDT)
Not even the door itself, though? It's a pretty big door, isn't it?--NotARedHerring 17:33, 27 September 2006 (PDT)

Cindy and Aaron

If Cindy has been kidnapped by the Others, she might be aware of the door. Could Someone add this? Could Aaron be added to the table as well? He has been in the Staff and the Swan. --Blue eagle islander 20:26, 27 September 2006 (PDT)

Desmond

Given the label of this article (station explorers), I suggest to keep it general for all valuable explorers to be added, rather than just Flight 815 survivors. For instace, we really need to add a reference to Desmond, given his long experience of the Swan, and extensive experience of the DHARMA stations' equipment, which he acquired from Inman (as noting to Locke that the computers can be used in communications as well) Also he has been to the Pearl, and will possibly visit a new station soon with Locke. I think that keeping information about his contributions would be a good clue to predict the role he would later play in furute exploring of stations. -- 08:36, 11 November 2006 (PST)

And also wouldn't you say Desmond is at least aware of some of the stations?

  • The Staff
  • The ?
  • The Arrow
  • ect. -- —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Jcc1033 (talkcontribs), 19:00, 23 December 2006 (UTC).
  • As LS said above, it's just speculation that Desmond would know about stations that he doesn't talk about or hasn't been seen entering. We can only enter things that the show presents to us, and not make inferences or speculation, even if it "makes a lot of sense" to one person that things should be like that (because many people's theories are still very open ended). So thanks for adding Desmond. For other cases, I'm going to take out the "Possibly knew about" statuses, because "possibly" has no place outside of a theory page. --PandoraX 12:12, 23 December 2006 (PST)

Delete the Door

Could all information of the Door be deleted from the page? Strictly speaking, it isn't a station. >: 4 8 15 16 23 42 11:27, 8 March 2007 (PST)

What makes it not a station?Princess Dharma (banned)

Well, I suppose some may class it ... just personally, I don't think it is ... it doesn't really serve a purpose like the other six, and was created solely as a decoy. >: 4 8 15 16 23 42 11:51, 8 March 2007 (PST)

Maybe it is just a decoy but it can be a decoy and a station at the same time. Princess Dharma (banned)

Get rid of it. its not a REAL staion anyways. --Project X 15:48, 9 March 2007 (PST)

The completest in me says to keep the door. It has a logo, it has a hatch -- Even though it is not terribly deep, it does represent a station. fFor example, it could have been a sort of supply store fFor Dharma people to keep, say, emergency medical gear when visiting that part of the island. Or perhaps a weapons shed. Or some sort of storm shelter fFor the people living and working in the nearby village (in which case the village itself represents some kind of station). Or, indeed, a kind of Dharma trap to lure the Hostiles out into a controlled area. Whatever the case, we don't know it's purpose. It seems to me you don't build a large reinforced steel door on a scenic vista and make up a corporate logo and identity just to have a decoy. fFuther, we've seen the hostiles knew where the dharma camp was, so they didn't exactly need a decoy. Decoys look like your normal basecamp, and are useful when you are hiding. Dharma was beyond hiding. Scott 16:51, 21 May 2007 (PDT)

I agree that we should have kept the The Door information. Scott raises good points as to its purpose and it has not been proved indefinately if the Door is a decoy. Sayid never touched the "rock wall" he saw and the others felt the need to guard it with two gunmen even in Ben's absence. None of the others have ever confirmed or denied or even made referrence to the Door which suggests that it may be abandoned as they have never made referrence to the Arrow or Radio tower either.JAMES200G 04:02, 29 May 2007 (PDT)

Other characters

Why ca't we add other characters to this list? I was thinking Danielle, Ben, Juliet, Tom, Aaron, Ethan, Goodwin. Maybe some others. --Blueeagleislander 21:20, 29 April 2007 (PDT)

I added an "Others" section to the page. >: 4 8 15 16 23 42 09:36, 18 May 2007 (PDT)

Bonnie and Greta

We don't know what they're Others, and thus aware of the Hydra. I know it's likely, but it's not certain. --The Smiley-Faced Balloon 15:34, 20 May 2007 (PDT)

Discussion - Aware of?

Wouldn't all the Others and survivors be aware of the stations they haven't been in by word of mouth? --Blueeagleislander 00:39, 23 May 2007 (PDT)

  • I actually think he should get rid of the whole Others section because we don't and probably will never know who has been where and who is aware of what. --Mr. Crabby (Talk) 04:03, 23 May 2007 (PDT)
I agree, the article is to do with who has discovered it and explored it. Ben as a DHARMA employee will know where every station is naturally, defeating the idea of exploration. So yeah, delete entire Others section I say --Nickb123 (Talk) 04:10, 23 May 2007 (PDT)
Makes sense.--Berethor222 19:08, 24 May 2007 (PDT)
Sorry, the Others section was my doing. I did add a comment above the table stating that it would NOT include any 'aware of' due to the fact we don't know what they are aware of, but somebody added 'aware of's anyway. Sorry. >: 4 8 15 16 23 42 16:02, 26 May 2007 (PDT)
I agree it should be deleted the point of this article is "exploration" as in the name. It is the "losties" that are really exploring the island and not the others. I agree that Ben would know of all the DHARMA stations as a DHARMA employee the events of The Man Behind the Curtain suggest that he made frequent trips to all the stations. As Ben knows of the stations the others would probably at least know of them if not their status (although some may argue that he would have no reason to tell them this he told Juliet about the Looking Glass) so this section is pointless as we do not know who has vistied what off screen. JAMES200G 14:15, 28 May 2007 (PDT)
  • Delete the Others section is the best thing to do. Their leader is Ben, who knows about all the stations, and so does every simgle member of their group. --Kemot from Poland 05:15, 30 May 2007 (PDT)
It's not even all of the others, where's Richard? Plus surely they are all aware of The Looking Glass because Ben told them it was flooded, and Mikhail would surely be aware of every station seeing how he had maps and manuals in The Flame.

PS-i'm changing Charlie to be aware of The Pearl because we see him holding a Pearl notebook.--Baker1000 09:12, 7 June 2007 (PDT)

  • If the "Others" section isn't deleted (which I think it should, then it should be changed so that Juliet is "aware of" the Swan. She and Ben observed Jack in the Swan while they were in the Pearl (Expose.--Theslate 20:10, 17 June 2007 (PDT)
