  • Why is Lost season 6 only going to be 16 epsiodes long when the first 3 seasons are 24, 25 episodes long the is no reason for this to have so little episodes. --Pacific Gilly 1992 08:33, 18 May 2007 (PDT)
Season 1 - 22(24) - 2 hour pilot and finale
Season 2 - 22(23) - 2 hour finale
Season 3 - 22(23) - 2 hour finale
Season 4 - 16
Season 5 - 16
Season 6 - 16
My guess for the shortened seasons is that they have material for 2 more full seasons (44/46 episodes), but want more money, so they break it into three short seasons (48/51 episodes) and BS their way though 4 episodes, or use them to tell us about Libby/Rousseau/other stuff that only "die-hards" care about. --Suddud (Talk) 20:04, 24 May 2007 (PDT)
  • Total hours hasn't been confirmed, there could be a 2-hour premier and final, thus making 18 hours total or technically 18 episodes. Besides the final season, they may give us a few more episodes to wrap up the show. Might be 20 episodes. Who knows. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Buffyfan123 (talkcontribs) .
  • Listen to the Podcast by Damon and Carlton. They explain that the 3 season, 16 episode break up works best for the story they want to tell.
  • It also works out fairly well for us, the viewers. A 16-episode season means we get about eight fewer episodes per season, BUT we get 'em all in one big chunk - there should be no extended breaks in the middle, like with S3 and S2 (which had at least /two/ breaks, one of which, frustratingly enough, was right before the finale. I didn't watch S1 when it aired originally, so I can't comment on its schedule, but I can't imagine it was aired continuously). --Shodan1138 20:17, 28 May 2007 (PDT)

My Theory About Season 6

  • I reckon that Season 6 is going to be all about after they've been rescued, and how they all adapt to life after the Island. What do you reckon? --   Lost Soul   talk  contribs  01:22, 29 May 2007 (PDT)
  • I reckon it will be them trying to survive Naomi's boat wiping out everyone on the island. Rescue next season (perhaps using Naomi's boat). Then season six dealing with coming back to the island
  • Could be that they get rescued some time in season 4 or 5, a lot of Season 5 could be off the Island, and Season 6 could involve them coming back to the Island leading up to the big finale. Although we've seen that Jack and Kate get off the Island, we don't know when exactly that is. Could be some time during the next three seasons, or could be after the show ends. Maybe we'll catch up to that point and carry on from there. It does seem a pretty bleak place to end the show.
A lot of people have speculated that episodes will now be set in the future and we'll start seeing flashbacks of the Island, but I'm not sure it would work for the 'present' to jump forward like that. I think we'll see flash-forwards like we did in the finale, but I don't think the series will jump forward like that, it'd be a bit messy.Liquidcow 02:32, 14 June 2007 (PDT)

Confirmed As In...?

So when they say confirmed, they mean that no matter how bad ratings get, there is garenteed to be a 6th season?-- DeGroot 07:44, 26 June 2007 (PDT)
