Could someone explain the concept of sweeps to me?

--Rayne 12:52, 30 April 2006 (PDT)

Sweeps are held in May, this is the time when advertisers pay very close attention to the number of people watching networks at certain times, Depending on how well watched the nertworks are they will be able to charge more for commercial spots in the future because more companys will be vieing for that precious time slot. Koolaidman 13:12, 30 April 2006 (PDT)

Ahh, I see, so the breaks in shows like Lost just stall so that the show will still be airing in May so that there will be more viewers?

--Rayne 18:00, 30 April 2006 (PDT)

This article is going to get huge by the time the series finishes, and i think we should be going into far more detail since we're all big lost fans.

Therefore i suggest breaking each episode into one episode articles and use the season page to act as an easy navigation location, with brief episode summaries in them. That way other articles can reference the episodes directly and all trivia and episode specific discussions can be contained. --Arcon 04:28, 24 November 2005 (PST)

Great idea, Arcon! Yesterday, I tried to edit something and above the editing window got a message to the effect that the "wiki" thinks that this article is already too long... --BrianSTL 10:01, 29 November 2005 (PST)

Falling behind

Wikipedia's ahead of you on the synopsis releases. They've already got "One of Them" slated to air on the 15th. I would add it, but the page is being refactored. (Which I would love to help with, but guess I can't since it's locked) Thunderbird L19 17:00, 4 February 2006 (PST)

Upcoming episodes

I added two unconfirmed spoilers and now we're two episodes ahead of Wikipedia :-) BTW: Take a look at this page. Easy access to some forum threads containing spoilers for unannounced episodes. --Jambalaya 15:01, 11 February 2006 (PST)

Hi guys, this is just a quick question-what are the plans after this season? Has 3 been filmed yet? Is there enough material for 4? Thanks!-Nick

Duplicate Efforts

Looks like there is duplicate (but different) storyline info on this page and some of the individual episode pages - has there been a decision on what should go where? -- «««Joseph»»» 11:30, 28 February 2006 (PST)

I think that this article should simply be a ssummary of the season' episodes. Each episode listed should only have a link to its respective page in this article. That way we won't have the redundant episode summaries. My 5 cents. --Jambalaya 12:38, 28 February 2006 (PST)

What evidence is there to suggest that the flashback will be Locke? I think it will be Hurley, given the following:
1. It will have a Latino priest in it, and Hurley and Ana-Lucia are the only Latino characters.
2. We know that Hurley was in a mental hospital, and the title Lockdown could easily refer to a mental hospital, as many patients are kept in Lockdown.
Has there been any rumor, or is there anything at all out there other than the title suggesting that the flashback is Locke? I don't want to force my opinion or anything, but since I haven't seen anything at all about ot being Locke, I think the page should say Hurley unless someone has another reason why it shouldn't be. Kahlfin 11:41, 28 February 2006 (PST)

There's no hard evidence pointing to Locke (just a fair guess based on the episode's name), but Jorge Garcia himself has confirmed that his character will not have a flashback in this episode The Fuselage thread Also, he mentions Locke as a possible flashback character. --Jambalaya 12:47, 28 February 2006 (PST)

ABC Medianet photos for this episode show the flashback is Locke attending a funeral. Source

Either - Or - ...

This article is a mess - some of the episode have a long desription, some a short. Wouldn't it be better to keep it short and move the long desriptions to the articles for each of the episodes? (Or delete them if they are doubles)

Also - is Maternity Leave really the only episode with flashbacks on the island? I am not sure about this, especially regarding the tailies... --aurora glacialis 13:48, 3 March 2006 (PST)

As I've written before, I think that we should keep the length of this article as short as possible to ease navigation.

You're right! I didn't think of that, it's like my brain haven't accepted the tailies as part of "our" characters in the show :-p --Jambalaya 14:06, 3 March 2006 (PST)

Well, one could argue that the entire episode of "The Other 48 Days" is one long flashback but other than that yes, Claire's is the first on island flashback User:Tricksterson

Shorter Episode Summaries On This Page

I replaced several of the long synopsis on this page with the short summary from their episode press releases on ABC MediaNet. The longer versions are still on the individual "Main" articles for the episodes. It seemed redundant to have such long descriptions on the season 2 page when they are duplicated on the main page for each episode.

Has anyone noticed that Walt isn't on the Season 2 poster but Aaron is? (Vincent's missing too)

Ironic, Walt's the one that's really lost. But yeah, he's not part of the main group anymore and he doesn't get too much screen time, so there's no need to have him on the poster. --skks 09:57, 22 March 2006 (PST)

page name change to simply Season 2

We are LostPedia and all of our articles are assumed to relate to Lost. There is no need to be redundant in titles. I made this move based on this, but it was reverted by User:Jabrwocky7, who then went beyond that and protected the page without offering an explanation. Since there are obviously two points of view, discussion seems like it would have been better. -- Lostpedian 09:25, 10 April 2006 (PDT)

You shouldn't have moved this page without FIRST discussing it in the talk page. Having the word LOST in the title of this article helps with search engine results. Also, you moved the Lost Season 2 page, but did not move Lost Season 1 page. You couldn't do that because it was already protected. I discussed this revert with a few other sysops and they were in agreement.    Jabberwock    talk    contribs    email   - 10:01, 10 April 2006 (PDT)

Guest stars

How about adding a section for "Guest Stars" (credited and uncredited) within each episode? Maybe after the synopsis, but before the trivia? --Elvis 13:56, 24 April 2006 (PDT)

Great idea - Go for it. I suggest you use a template, either adding on to the one used for the episode information, or create a new one. A good source for the guest stars is ABC Medianet.

All Promo Images Up

Someone keeps adding him back to the recurring cast. If we want to be coherent, than he is a main character in Season 2.

1. In the episodes he appears in, he's always credited as a main character. He is never listed under "Guest starring"

2. In Season 1, Emilie de Ravin was - just like Malcolm David Kelley - not credited in all of the episodes. She is still a regular.

3. To be honest, I don't know how did the press relaeses of Season 2 look like, I guess Walt was listed under recurring characters. However, on Lostpedia, episode credits usually have a higher priority. Rodrigo Santoro, Kiele Sanchez, Jeremy Davies, Ken Leung and Rebecca Mader are all listed in the press relaeses as recurring, but in the episodes as main characters. In Lostpedia, we consider them main characters. Andris22 04:36, 9 March 2008 (PDT)

Yes, I agree with this, stop moving him.-------Mattfarley1008 17:18, 9 March 2008 (PDT)

I always thought that crediting him as such was a courtesy to the actor, who they didn't want to write off, but had to due to his height. As for Claire in season one, part way through the season she became a "main" character more than she was in the beginning. And in my opinion, the first season was it's own little deal, because of complications that arise from the pilot and how contracts work from that. But for Walt in season two, he was a main character in the first season, and if he was returning for season two as a main character, he would have been on the posters, etc., which is why we came up with argument that Nikki and Paulo were. They were also listed in consecutive episodes during that season, which Walt was not in season two, and neither was Dominic Monaghan this year. Claire was in season one, and with the odd mitigations that come from the transition from pilot to series, this is understandable that she had an in between state. Alexisfan07 12 March 2008

Walt was credited in 4 episode (201, 206, 222 and 224), not five as said on this page.

I think it's because we've listed character appearances, and he appears briefly in "The Other 48 Days" despite not being credited.--Baker1000 (talk) 16:46, October 21, 2012 (UTC)
