  • Don't you think the logo on the map looks like the swan's logo ?--—The preceding unsigned comment was added by TheAma1 (talkcontribs) 12:51, 1 March 2007.
    • I agree that it is the Swan logo, but the topography doesn't make sense with the surounding views near the Swan --Samhain99 11:26, 1 March 2007 (PST)
      • Seems to me that the logo is almost definitely the one for the Flame station, rather than the swan.--Zetetic 11:29, 2 March 2007 (PST)
    • it is 100% the swan because i have eyes --Project X 23:39, 6 March 2007 (PST)

Building[]

Can we assume that the building in the map is the one where we can (vaguely) see Hanso near a window in severall of the videos ? TheAma1 11:16, 1 March 2007 (PST)

That's not a safe assumption at all. We don't currently have any evidence that such a building even exists yet. It may have been scrapped in the planning phase. -BearDog 11:28, 1 March 2007 (PST)

The building appears to be a layout of the swan, but it cannot be the swan based on the buildings location and topography on the map. Perhaps, as beardog suggests, they were planning an additional swan research center but dropped it after "the incident" --Samhain99 11:35, 1 March 2007 (PST)

Is that a retaining wall above the building structure outline? If it is, does that say that the topography is indicating a decending road rather than a rising road towards the building? --Samhain99 11:35, 1 March 2007 (PST)

Can't tell without seeing the numbering on the topography lines. Did anyone with HD happen to catch a good screencap? -BearDog 11:37, 1 March 2007 (PST)

Nevermind, that one is HD, and it's probably as good as we're going to get. From the numbers that we can see, they appear to be decending, so both the structures would be set in a valley, and a switchback road dropping down to meet them. The topography seems to plateau at the circled c, so I think that's either a lake, or a bay of some sort. Just throwin' that out there. -BearDog 11:56, 1 March 2007 (PST)

I actually don't think that the building on the right of the DHARMA logo is a hatch building. Looks to me more like a turbine of some sort. TheAma1 11:42, 1 March 2007 (PST)

I don't believe it is a building either. Looks more like a tabled list. The left column being numbers, the second contains text of various lengths and the other columns are sparsely populated. --Found 12:58, 1 March 2007 (PST)

Map[]

Did anyone happen to see what Sawyer did with the map after he saw it? Because a topographical map of the island would be incredibly valuable to anyone wanting to get off it. Show it to Sayid if you don't know how to read it!! -BearDog 12:41, 1 March 2007 (PST)

Numbers and symbols[]

How come no one here is discussing the numbers and symbols on the map? I really couldn't find it in Lostpedia, so I'd like to throw something I figured out here.

First of all, it's not "2093480". The "209" is in a different level/line than the rest, and it makes sense if we consider the numbers "3480" and "3458" right next to it. The "209" part seem to refer to the space above the line that separates "209 / 3480".

Another thing: "45-290 VV", from what I see, is a voltage variation from minimum 45 to maximum 290. Not only those are both round numbers, it also points to the top of the station. Voltage variation is closely related to magnetic fields. -. Grillage .- 15:37, 11 March 2007 (PDT)

Could the "C" in a circle represent a Cerberus Vent? Since the backs of the Official Jigsaw Puzzles revealed that the "C.V." notations on the blast door map stands for CERBERUS VENT this could be along the same line. --mac_ad 14:41, 8 November 2007 (PST)
