• Should be renamed since his boss is given the last name of "Nations" in "Tricia Tanaka Is Dead". Was "Burgess" ever used in dialogue or is it just in the credits? Whichever itis should be mentioned in the trivia section. --Jackdavinci 02:11, 1 March 2007 (PST)
AFAIK, that name was not mentioned on the show. Apparently, it comes from a website. Looking at the page history, we see that the page was moved to that name on April 5, 2006, no reason being given for it. -- Cheers 08:21, 1 March 2007 (PST)
I was the one who renamed it. It came from the Lost: The Untold website, where if you accessed Locke's computer, it showed his Randy's last name was Burgess. However, info from last night's show takes precedence of course, so it should be renamed. --Elvis 10:33, 1 March 2007 (PST)
  • Rename to real name. -- Cheers 08:21, 1 March 2007 (PST)
Rename WarthenMan
  • Rename: IMHO it should be changed because it was never mentioned in any of the episodes. Searching thru the transcripts I don't get a hit for Burgess: see here, so it should be moved. --Marik7772003 08:34, 1 March 2007 (PST)
Done. --Marik7772003 09:07, 1 March 2007 (PST)

Randy's timeline

How is that supposed to work?

  • Randy works for Hurley at the time of the intended re-opening of Mr. Clock's. His hair is still short, and he is clean-shaven. Then the meteor crashes and destroys the chicken shack.
  • Hurley returns home, still covered in dust, and is welcomed by his father, who has returned home after all those years.
  • Hurley is hellbent on going to Australia to find Sam Toomey. Judging from the flashbacks in "Tricia Tanaka Is Dead", he spent a few days with his old man at best before heading off to Australia.
  • We don't know how much time he spent in Australia before he finally managed to track down Toomey's wife. After their encounter, Hurley decided to return to the USA on the fateful Oceanic Flight 815.
  • Meanwhile, Randy is working as Locke's superior at the box company Hurley apparently also owns. It's presumed that Hurley had Randy transferred there after Mr. Cluck's was destroyed, but when exactly did Hurley do that? Before heading off to Australia?
  • Also, in "Walkabout", Randy has way longer hair as well as facial hair. And since Locke mentioned to his phone hotline "girlfriend" he calls Helen how relieving it was to "finally telling Randy off", it would appear that Randy has been Locke's superior for quite some time.
  • All this of course also happens shortly before Locke heads off to Australia on his ill-fated Walkabout tour.

So, unless Hurley had Randy transferred to the box company immediately after the chicken shack blew up, the time he spent with his father was longer than the episode made it appear to be and/or Hurley spent several months in Australia looking for Sam Toomey, this doesn't make a lot of sense.--Nevermore 11:12, 3 May 2007 (PDT)

Anyone?--Nevermore 00:40, 23 January 2008 (PST)

I mean, the stripped down version of your question is: "How much time passed between Hurley winning the lottery and the crash on the Island?" Since we know that the office scenes in "Walkabout" would have happened a few weeks to one month before the crash, and the "Tricia Tanaka" scene would have been a few weeks to a month after the lottery winning. There's no difinitive dates for the Flashbacks, so we'll never know for sure.--DanVader228 22:56, March 28, 2010 (UTC)

Randy's new job

Someone has posted elsewhere that Randy - as seen in the season 4 premiere - appears to be an employee of the consumer electronics retail chain 'Circuit City'. Is anyone here familiar with the 'Circuit City' stores and their uniforms?.--Kivipat19:24, 1 February 2008 (PST)

  • hmmmmm...seems there was a sign that said 'Circuit House' near where Hurley crashed, perhaps it's a play on 'Circuit City'?.--Kivipat

Moved from main article

On the DVD connections, if you click between Kate and her father the line goes through Randy. Clue?--Utstar 19:39, 30 August 2008 (PDT) (Moved by Gluphokquen Gunih 19:43, 30 August 2008 (PDT))

Randy In Santa Rosa Hospital

On rewatching S04E01 The_Beginning_of_the_End I noticed Hurley's opponent in the Connect 4 appears to be Randy Nations. This shot was very brief and came just before the introduction of Matthew Abaddon.

I can see a resemblance, but I really don't think that's Billy Ray Gallion. -- Graft   talk   contributions  04:23, March 29, 2010 (UTC)

The page describes him as "diabolical." This is an unnecessary adjective for a Wiki article, and furthermore, there is nothing he did which is diabolical. He was just a jerk. If nobody objects, I will remove this in favor of maintaining NPOV.--Master Tej (talk) 01:48, March 15, 2014 (UTC)
