blown up[]
Just stating an odd fact that both the rafts made by the survivors eventually caught on fire, one was caused by Walt the other was by the explosion from the other. I don't think it's just a considence--Addude 18:33, 24 July 2006 (PDT)
2nd Raft[]
Wasn't the 2nd raft introduced in 1x17 not 1x14? Although, it was mainly built using the left overs from the 1st raft...--Baker1000 03:36, 23 April 2007 (PDT)
Yes, sort of. The first burnt down in 1x17 and at the very end Michael promises Wlat he'll build a new one. As he is going through the debris, Jin offers to help make the new one. So although the idea of the second raft is raised in 1x17, we don't actually see it until later.--TechNic|talk|conts 03:58, 23 April 2007 (PDT)
I'm pretty sure Kate and Sun's plan was to poison Jin and not Michael, so that Jin would have to stay and Kate could get his spot. The plan outlined here doesn't make a whole lot of sense.--Jeff 15:22, 28 September 2007 (PDT)
Unanswered Questions[]
- Why do the survivors not attempt to build a second raft, since the first seems to have only been attacked because of Walt?
This question doesn't make sense. A second raft was built... Did the person who wrote this mean to say "third"? Even if he/she did, it still wouldn't make sense. Anyone care to elucidate? --AlexAx 15:48, 7 July 2007 (PDT)
That was me. I corrected the issue with "second" and "third," but my point was that it's odd that they don't try again. The first attempt was foiled by Walt. The second attempt was destroyed because of Walt. Since Walt has apparently been gone for a few weeks, wouldn't the survivors consider trying once more? If somebody can better frame the question, I invite them to do so. --webbrg
- The whole reason why Michael built the raft in the first place was because of Walt... I don't think the other Losties had any faith in it. Otherwise they'd have done more than one at the same time. Also, they probably thought that the Others would intercept them again, so they pretty much gave up on it. I think this invalidates the question. --AlexAx 06:44, 10 July 2007 (PDT)
Well, they a) assumed that it would get blown up again, b) it was long after when Arzt said they should leave, and c) Desmond sailed for several weeks and got nowhere. A new raft would probably be a lost cause.--Jeff 15:25, 28 September 2007 (PDT)
inflatable raft?[]
shouldn't it be called a dinghy or however you spell it because to me it seems more fit but whatever the others think
Zodiac Raft[]
Although the Zodiac Raft has its own separate article, I don't think its section should be left completely empty in this one. Maybe we could add a brief summary, as well as the link for the "Zodiac Raft" article?--Forloyo 17:39, 17 February 2009 (UTC)
how come the first raft doesn't go through the time effect?[]
on the freighter it is a main thing that you have to follow a certain bearing but it doesn't seem to affest the first raft
O6 Lift Raft[]
Is not the same as the one Frank had in the helicopter. That raft was larger with a SOS light at the top that Penny and her crew found them in. The raft that the O6 use to get to Sumba is likely the raft from the Searcher. LEHLegacy 16:46, January 7, 2010 (UTC)LEHLegacy
