"Flight 316 passengers" to end the argument over whether Locke should be included.  Jimbo the Tubby  talk  contributions  18:25, 21 May 2009 (UTC)

  • Well, I can't see why Locke would be included anyway, because he didn't survive anything. I'm not trying to make an argument. I'm just trying to make a point. --Crash815 Talk 19:56, 21 May 2009 (UTC)
    • Because, even as a corpse, he was a passenger. Similarly, Christian appears on the Oceanic portal.  Jimbo the Tubby  talk  contributions  04:15, 22 May 2009 (UTC)
      • Okay, well, if we decide to change this to Flight 316 passengers, then I agree that Locke could go there then. --Crash815 Talk 14:19, 22 May 2009 (UTC)
        • If we're keeping it as survivors, we should take off the copilot. He didn't survive the crash.--Nick40292 23:03, 22 May 2009 (UTC)
          • And if we're changing it to passengers, then we can't include the flight attendants, the co-pilot, or Frank, because they were crew, not passengers. So maybe we should try to find something that will include the co-pilot, Locke, and the crew. Probably "Flight 316 Crew and Passengers". --Crash815 Talk 00:38, 23 May 2009 (UTC)
            • "Passengers" is shorthand for "people who were on the plane". You're just being anal about this: you know what the intent of the page is, why argue the semantics of it?  Jimbo the Tubby  talk  contributions  04:57, 23 May 2009 (UTC)
              • I'm not trying to get into an argument about this. Whatever. I'm dropping out of the discussion. --Crash815 Talk 05:05, 23 May 2009 (UTC)

Disagree We've been dealing with survivors for a long time. However Locke should not be included. He was not a passenger; his body was cargo.--Jim in Georgia Contribs Talk 21:14, December 30, 2009 (UTC)

what are these subtitles?[]

so, the key shows (poorly, since some of the text is too large for the box so you don't even know what it says - example: "off island | Got off ...." - also note that this one isn't even used here) what each color means, but each character's block has a sub-title - example: "Lapidus | Jacob" - what do these mean? These aren't explained and they really don't make sense - none of the main cast (hurley, jack, etc) have them, but Sun's sub-title is "The Others" - why? is she part of them now? Is it because she's hanging out with them? If she is with them, then why doesn't hurley's say "Dharma Initiative"? Why is Lapidus sub-titled "Jacob"?

whoever created this page has some 'splaining to do.  superwesman   talk   blog   contributions  11:21, December 26, 2009 (UTC)

I haven't created this, but I could explain it. Lapidus, Ilana and Bram were walking to the statue. So they are byJacob. But Sun and Ben are with The Others, so they are subtiled as The Others.--Station7 11:24, December 26, 2009 (UTC)

  • that's totally goofy - last time I checked, Sun and Ben were "with" The Others and "by" Jacob since everyone is hanging around the statue.  superwesman   talk   blog   contributions  23:34, December 29, 2009 (UTC)

If you can't see the text in the key, then I think there's a problem with the text size you have in your browser. But at any rate, the purple border is for people who have defected and then the tag is for what affiliation they've defected to (DHARMA, the Others, Jacob, etc).  Jimbo the Tubby  talk  contributions  21:24, December 26, 2009 (UTC)

  • So, by your reasoning, Sun has defected to The Others? Lapidus has defected to Jacob? I don't buy it. The sub-titles don't make any sense and seem totally unnecessary. Seriously, as an exercise, come up with some way to justify their intent, then use real examples. Your defection bit doesn't make sense for many of the characters. Furthermore, from what did Sun defect? The Ajira plane? It doesn't make any sense. If we insist on having sub-titles, we should do them in a way that makes sense. Putting the year, for example, would be a lot more helpful than what we've got.  superwesman   talk   blog   contributions  23:34, December 29, 2009 (UTC)

Kate's "defection"[]

Kate's loyalty to MIB, especially in light of her refusing his hand up in "Recon," is questionable at best. We can't say that she's defected to him; she just left the Temple with his group because she had nowhere else to go...--Emissary23 15:55, March 18, 2010 (UTC)
