Do people really use those fan names for the pairings? I can't stand them. —XSG 19:28, 31 May 2006 (PDT)
- Oh yes. It's less than ideal, but it is what it is. :) Jengod 19:30, 31 May 2006 (PDT)
This is an uneeded, idiotic and ridiculous article btw. Pazuzu47 10:23, 1 June 2006 (PDT)
- Emotion and human relationships ARE a totally legitimate part of the Lost world. Just because it's not hard math or supermystical doesn't mean it's not important. 'Ships are a huge part of fandom for lots of people. Jengod 10:25, 1 June 2006 (PDT)
- Pazuzu47: it would be nicer for you to state that it is your opinion that this article is unneeded, idiotic, and ridiculous rather than to say so matter-of-factly. The truth is that LostPedia is used by many different people for many different purposes, and while I share your sentiments regarding the necessity of this artice, I can appreciate that folks like Jengod do find that it has value. Let's play nicely in the sandbox! —XSG 14:26, 1 June 2006 (PDT)
This article is legitimate and it stays because fanfiction makes use of these terms and it is a huge part of the LOST fandom. Yes, I have to admit that deletion was my first instinct when I saw the terms, but I have come toaccept them when I understood what they were for. --†††GodEmperorOfHell††† 08:08, 15 July 2006 (PDT)
I think this article is very interesting, though it could be merged with the fan fiction article. On any popular show fans come up with crazy relationship combinations and it's interesting to see what they come up with. I also like the Pregnant Babe and Junkie PB&J thing. I thought that was clever. Maurajbo 12:06, 22 February 2008 (PST)
Hurby[]
My girlfriend says that Hubby and Hurlibby suck and has proposed Hurby. What say you? --Offput 18:51, 25 August 2006 (PDT)
- Are you serious. You have dicussions about this, and it what is worse is that it is with your girlfriend (real, imaginary, or inflatable). You guys need to find something else to talk about.--CaptainInsano 19:38, 25 August 2006 (PDT)
- Play nice, Captain! Offput - ignore him. I endorse Hurby over Hubby & Hurlibby. What about Hurlby? --Jajasoon 19:43, 25 August 2006 (PDT)
- Wow, that's pretty darn harsh. We both like Lost, and we came upon this page and she made a comment; I didn't realise that had to lead to insults. I always thought wikis were there to invite people to discuss not to humiliate them into submission. (I was also unaware that all relationships had to have profound discussions all the time and there was no room for humour). --Offput 08:50, 28 August 2006 (PDT)

- Ah come on. You are taking to fun out of Lostpedia. Fine to have a reasonable conversation. Why don't we just have all of them?--CaptainInsano 19:47, 25 August 2006 (PDT)
Lawyer, hehe[]
Haha, Locke and Sawyer. Good God. I'm bored. --Marik7772003 15:53, 15 September 2006 (PDT)
Kasmondeers[]
Within the humorous pairings, consider adding the Kasmondeers! Kate + Desmond. www.kasmondeers.com
It has a small but prestegious following :)

"Same Sex Pairings - Humorous?"
Why are same-sex pairings described as humorous?? Would it be amusing if two male or two female characters hooked up? How do we know that they won't hook up?
I find the word "Humor" in the sub-title to be offensive and unnecessary. Okay, so there's a jokey Jack-Locke video, but I don't see what is funny about same-sex pairings in general.
- I'm about to add "New Jate" (Kate/Juliet, it's a growing fandom! =P) and I noticed the "Humor." I think I'll remove that too, it is a bit offensive. Not everyone who likes a slash ship thinks it's funny, and besides, we're supposed to see a gay character. ShadowUltra 17:06, 11 April 2007 (PDT)
Semi-Canonical[]
I am new and am reluctant to edit the page, but how is Sayid/Shannon a "semi" canonical pairing? I mean, they had sex. Sayid told Shannon he loved her. Isn't that about as canonical as you can get? If there is a logical reason for this, let me know. Otherwise, if no one objects, I'm going to change that to a canonical pairing. Maurajbo 11:54, 22 February 2008 (PST)
OK. I went ahead and changed it. Maurajbo 15:27, 29 February 2008 (PST)
- I actually recategorized these pairings altogether, as semi-canonical made no sense. --Jajasoon 13:25, 3 March 2008 (PST)
Good idea. Maurajbo 13:40, 6 March 2008 (PST)
Absurd and offensive[]
The homosexual section should be removed except for Toms character. Creating video's of an imagined homosexual relationship between Jack and Sawyer should be left to someone's sick fantasies and not for unsuspecting lost fans to stumble upon. If we let this type of crap in the next thing there will be fantasies about Walt posted--John Burger 19:49, 25 March 2008 (PDT)
- How does one unsuspectingly "stumble upon" a video with the word "Homosexual" written in large font above it?
- Absurd, certainly. Offensive, well, that's up to you. It's all speculation regarding consenting adults (though Claire-Ethan seems a bit creepy), so I don't see the problem.--Hylas 09:36, 31 May 2008 (PDT)
Suliet[]
Just a theory, but I'm guessing next season "Suliet" will get moved into the canonical section. Both think their former love interests are dead, both stuck on the beach together. That should close of the love polygon nicely.--Hylas 09:22, 31 May 2008 (PDT)
Rose/Ben[]
I'm assuming the name Gilgamesh is a joke. (I'm resisting the urge to say the same thing about the Rose/Ben pairing itself. You never know, someone could actually be shipping them. Or not.)
Erm, but yeah. Since this isn't a 'parody' article, shouldn't it be taken off?--Namesnotannie 22:56, 14 August 2008 (PDT)
Desmond/Penelope[]
I think the DesPen/Pesmond page should be brought back. It's pretty obvious that the relationship is pivotal to the whole plot, with Penelope looking for Desmond and eventually finding him, Frank, and the Oceanic 6. Now, with Charles Widmore's increased involvement and Ben's threat to kill Penelope, the relationship will almost certainly continue to play an important role. The page did need to be cleaned up, but that can be accomplished without deleting the page. --Fig newton 15:52, 4 January 2009 (UTC)
Clare/Kate[]
I don't really follow the whole shipping thing, but has there ever been a pairing of Claire and Kate? For the past two seasons I've been hoping that they'd make it off the Island and raise Aaron together. With their holding hands on the Ajira flight, I feel a but vindicated, but I haven't seen anything anywhere about this pairing. Is it just me?
