Is it normal for podcasts to show up later in the RSS feed than on the ABC site? Or does this one look like it may only appear on the website? --Minderbinder 14:37, 3 October 2006 (PDT)
- It looks like it will only appear on site.--CaptainInsano 14:40, 3 October 2006 (PDT)
- I wouldn't be so hasty to claim that. We all know ABC = Disney = Steve Jobs = Apple -- Plkrtn talk contribs email 14:41, 3 October 2006 (PDT)
- If that were really the case, wouldn't ABC be using quicktime for streaming instead of flash? I wouldn't be surprised if there was no iPod video podcast since it would require encoding the video into a format ABC doesn't usually use. --Minderbinder 14:45, 3 October 2006 (PDT)

- All the other ones were released at the same time.--CaptainInsano
I believe that the new video podcasts will appear later in the feeds as most people get their updates from that. Let's wait before stating anything of exclusivity. Tebor 15:40, 3 October 2006 (PDT)
Podcast Spoilers[]
Do podcasts count as spoilers? The big yellow warning box says not to add info from sneak previews. Do podcasts fall into the same category or not? Previously, any reference to new stations in S3 was deleted, now that the podcast leaked it, is it fair game? Also, is Lostpedia's general spoiler policy described somewhere? I've looked but couldn't find anything. --Minderbinder 10:31, 4 October 2006 (PDT)
- I think it's fair game in the podcast article for the following reasons:
- 1) It's an official source (read the fine print on LP:TP).
- 2) If Damon and Carlton didn't want this information out there, it wouldn't have been released in the podcast.
- 3) It's hard to say if it's even true. I wouldn't be suprised if it's an elaborate joke. Damon and Carlton have a reputation for releasing "foilers" and making false statements. See also the Zombies in Season 7.
- 4) The purpose of this article is to document what was said in the podcast.
- I think a spoiler tag at the top of this article is enough warning. As for a spoiler policy, I don't think we have an official policy. Generally though, we've not been posting unconfirmed information about Season 3, including episode names, character names, flashbacks, etc until it's confirmed by an official source (see LP:TP). If something contains verifiable spoilerish info, it should have the spoiler tag included. -- Jabberwock talk contribs email - 10:55, 4 October 2006 (PDT)
Makes sense. Obviously, the podcast page is going to include the content of the podcast, spoilers and all. I was thinking more about things like the recent updates to the DHARMA Initiative stations page (with the podcast mention, should that page be created again?). I don't think there's any question that it's canon (assuming they're telling the truth and not making a joke), but canon and spoilers are two different things. It's a bit of a sticky issue since someone avoiding spoilers, who doesn't listen to the podcasts for that reason, may come across podcast spoilers on any given article. The best way to handle that is probably just spoiler warnings on those pages. --Minderbinder 11:11, 4 October 2006 (PDT)
- Personally, when I'm adding what was said or information given in the podcasts, I don't think about spoilers. Cuse and Lindelof really are good at keeping things a secret (namely the Two for the Road pre-hash) and they will never leak anything they want to be a surprise. Also, their answering of questions could be spoilers (Desmond's return from last season was said in a podcast Q&A), but they seem to want people to know about it.
- I also think the new hatch leak will either be revealed in tonight's (10/4) episode right away, or they were kidding as nothing can be taken from Damon's hat.
- However, I think I made a theory in one of my transcription summaries that probably should be deleted. Tebor 17:37, 4 October 2006 (PDT)
