I know this article has a stub tag, but what can we really add to it without going completely overboard on information. Most of the information on the island can be viewed by a simple Wiki link. Any suggestions/ideas?   Hooper   talk    contribs    email   10:11, 20 March 2007 (PDT)

Rename[]

The first line states "Oahu, known properly as O'ahu". So why isn't the article called O'ahu? --Gluphokquen Gunih 12:43, 1 June 2008 (PDT)

  • One is a standard American spelling, the other is a Hawaiian language transcription standard. This is the same for Hawaii which is also Hawaiʻi. Both are proper. Mainstream national English language press around the world will use "Oahu". It is similar to how standard press spells the Japanese capital Tokyo instead of the proper transcription Tōkyō, or the country "Spain" instead of "España". Similarly, WP uses Hawaiian word spellings without the ʻ symbol. For these reasons, that LP is using standard (American) English, IMO LP should not use the ʻ. -- Contrib¯ _Santa_ ¯  Talk  12:44, 20 June 2008 (PDT)

The 15 scenes not shot on Oahu?[]

This article states that 15 scenes were not shot on Oahu. Anyone know what the 15 scenes are? A list on this article would be nice. I once read that only 3 scenes had been shot outside of Oahu, the two London scenes with Widmore and the polar bear cave scene (which was inside an actual lava tube on another Hawaiian Island). Apparently it was 15 scenes as of "Confirmed Dead" so that makes it at least 17 scenes as of "There's No Place Like Home, Parts 2 & 3" right? Possibly even more by now (Season 6). If anyone can recall scenes that were not shot on Oahu, that would be great.--Baker1000 21:11, March 15, 2010 (UTC)
