Merge Proposal[]

  • Merge. Though mildly interesting as an influence, I don't see why an this computergame should deserve its own page. I can't even think of a category for it. --Hunter61 22:37, 15 June 2007 (PDT)
  • Keep - We have a precedent for literary references that have served as an influence to Lost, for example Watchmen, or the more obvious Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass and Wizard of Oz (which existed before the direct references in "The Man Behind the Curtain"). I was doubtful of this article at first, but it is referenced, so I'm inclined to keep, although the "similarities and shared themes" section is perhaps could use some editing as it may be a bit too bloated to be supported by the reference. -- Contrib¯ _Santa_ ¯  Talk  00:39, 16 June 2007 (PDT)
    • In that case a new category Games should be created --Hunter61 01:21, 16 June 2007 (PDT)
  • Keep -this game is really big reference to Lost, it should have seperate article --EXCALIBUR
  • Keep+ - if merged anywhere it should be to an article about Lost influences. Games is about games within the show's plot. But this and all other influence articles should probably have a common category and/or an infobox. --Jackdavinci 21:55, 26 July 2007 (PDT)
Consensus is keep. Article has been added under misc pop culture reference, having its own article on a similar basis to screen references like Danube --Nickb123 (Talk) 13:08, 28 July 2007 (PDT)

Wow...[]

I just discovered that I have this game, in my closet. I'll have to dust it off and play it.-- Sam McPherson  T  C  E  17:51, 27 February 2008 (PST)

Editing proposal[]

I'm new to this site, so I apologize in advance if my idea isn't good. I have some knowledge of the Myst series, and I personally think some of the bullet points are rather arbitrary. I'd suggest omitting the parts that are either clearly subjective or too superficial (the black rock similarity, for example). I also think the "lacking counterpart" examples may be irrelevant: it's easy to think of numerous things that don't have counterparts, so why mention it at all? Some more general information about the game could be added, too. I don't mind doing all of these, but I thought it best to ask for opinions first. Alpert 04:26, 8 May 2008 (PDT)

I agree with you on the "lacking counterpart" section being unnecessary, so I took it out. If you've got more to add on the game, please do. --GrammarGal 14:11, 2 July 2008 (PDT)
