Regarding this statement made in this article, "Their residence was adjacent to the "Lake Office" headquarters of the secretive Cargill Corporation on Lake Minnetonka's Gray's Bay."

What is so "secretive" about the Cargill Corporation other than being privately held? This statement should be removed. It has absolutely nothing to do with LOST. So, Henry Gale's balloon was sponsored by "Minnesota Metallurgy and Mining Company" and that resembles the first name of 3M that started in Two Harbors, MN. It is a BIG leap to go from the daughter of one of 3M's founders and chairmans to the so-called "secretive" Cargill Corporation. It is a coincidence that Virginia McKnight Binger (said daughter) lives in the same zip code that was listed on Henry Gale's license. Mentioning that she lives next to the office of the Cargill Corporation is useless information. It does not pertain to the story. It is not a neat coincidence. I doubt that the writers of LOST had put this all together. And, who cares?

Agree The very first bit about 3M is a reasonable connection. Everything else is completely unrelated and meaningless. I'm actually going to remove those bits as they are of no value to Lost. We can find crazy links like this everywhere, but they are apophenia. I actually feel these suggestions go past normal apophenia and are just ridiculous.
