40 years old??

Is Matthew Fox really 40 this year?? My God, he's looked after himself! -- Plkrtn  talk  contribs  email  06:52, 28 May 2006 (PDT)

Actually he is much better looking now then when he was younger, have a look at the student film referenced on the main article. --Lightman 05:52, 25 May 2007 (PDT)

On the few couple's pictures I saw, his wife looks a lot older than him. --Lightman 05:52, 25 May 2007 (PDT)

Is it really necessary to have "Foxy" in bold for his name at the beginning of the article? Yes his fans call him that but virtually no one else does. It is already in the Trivia section. It would be one thing if he was always known as Foxy Fox (i.e., Johnathan "John" Locke, Katherine "Kate" Austen, etc) but it something else when it isn't what he actually calls himself. Any objections to changing it? Fishbiscuits 14:34, 13 November 2006 (PST)

  • I agree with you, and I took it out. Besides, it's already in Trivia on the same page, and I'm sure it'll be in the fan-created nicknames list in no time! --Amberjet11 14:36, 13 November 2006 (PST)

Relations with the cast

  • In the recent Dominic Monaghan interview by Kristin Veitch, Dominic talks about his socializing with all the main cast but strangely omit to cite Matthew Fox, suggesting that he does not appreciate him much. --Lightman 05:49, 25 May 2007 (PDT)
    • Well this sure was a while ago. But, I've seen Dom and Matthew get along on many occasions in press appearances, interviews and things like that. He must've just slipped Dom's mind. That being said, I've never seen Matthew or Terry O'Quinn talk about one another, and I've never seen them doing press together. This has led me to believe they don't get along. New tattoo?

Joes Matthew Fox have a new tattoo? Something looking like a rose or a tulip seemed to be on his left inside forearm in the Season 3 finale "Through the Looking Glass". I don't remember seeing that tattoo before. Is this new tattoo going to cause continuity problems? Robert K S 00:07, 1 June 2007 (PDT)

He got a skull and crossbones tattoo on the inside of his left forearm sometime just before his SNL appearance last December. You can see it in this screenshot -- Blackannis 03:46, 1 June 2007 (PDT)
That looks like his inside right forearm. I'll try to grab a picture of the flower-looking tattoo tonight. Robert K S 06:15, 1 June 2007 (PDT)
Ooops, I meant right! He has had a comprehensive tattoo on his left forearm since the Pilot, something they've never covered, although it's not always noticeable. You can see that here --Blackannis 06:47, 1 June 2007 (PDT)
Thanks, that looks a lot more like what I thought was a flower (at least it has the red in it). This one seems to be left arm:

Here's a Season One promo shot with the left forearm tat clearly visible. I noticed that when Jack is taking to Ben in the Season 3 finale, the skull and crossbones is clearly covered up with makeup. Trying to find a clear screenshot of it.... --Blackannis 06:58, 1 June 2007 (PDT)
Here's my screencap of the place in the episode where I thought his tattoo was most noticeable. I wouldn't be surprised if it has been covered up with makeup in the past. It doesn't appear to be visible in the scene with Jack tugging on the aquarium chains in the Season 3 premiere.

Actually... Got one from A Tale of Two Cities where you can see it. But that room is so dark I had to brighten it!

Nice! Thanks for helping me put my mind at rest. Very kind of you. Robert K S 22:26, 1 June 2007 (PDT)
You're more than welcome! --Blackannis 07:30, 2 June 2007 (PDT)

Playboy interview

The mass media are reporting on and quoting from an interview Fox did recently with Playboy magazine. He discusses losing his virginity at age 12 and denies tabloid rumors of an affair with a stripper. Here, for example, is USA Today's article, but there are others to be found with a Google search.  Robert K S   tell me  23:10, April 18, 2010 (UTC)
