Pretty, but to us [ deuteranopes], working links and dead links all look the same now :) {{User:Dt7/sig}} 15:07, 16 March 2008 (PDT)

Supporting Characters

At the index on the bottom of the main page, how come Karen & Gerald DeGroot are on the supporting characters list? They only appeared on Lost during the orientation films. Also when you click on the supporting characters link they aren't there. And why are Paulo and Nikki listed as supporting characters but when you click on the main characters link they are on there? just wondering... ToTheCaves 14:29, 1 March 2008 (PST)

The index hasn't really been looked after well in recent months. I'll try and overhaul it when I can.  Plkrtn  talk  contribs  email  04:00, 3 March 2008 (PST)

ok thanks ToTheCaves 16:25, 3 March 2008 (PST)

"We'll be your constant"...

Could this possibly go somewhere else? -- Iron Man  Send a message  View contributions  13:49, 3 March 2008 (PST)

I think it's good where it is, reading the whole thing as one sentence makes sense that way: "Welcome to Lostpedia, the Lost encyclopedia. We'll be you constant..." -random2502 15:34, 3 March 2008 (PST)
That's definitely the best possible spot. --Blueeagleislander 00:35, 4 March 2008 (PST)

Maybe your right, I don't know why but it just irks me. -- Iron Man  Send a message  View contributions  12:30, 4 March 2008 (PST)

Update the Poll

The poll hasn't been updated in 3 weeks, I think it needs and update.

  • The new poll looks great! -- Iron Man  Send a message  View contributions  16:47, 5 March 2008 (PST)
    • There is something wrong with it. It appears as the text in a white areas. The graphics such as the button design and such are not appearing.--Connor401 16:50, 5 March 2008 (PST)
It works fine for me, well... fine in theory but come on, Hurley's episode was great! Where's all the votes? -random2502 23:00, 5 March 2008 (PST)
It's cos we've had so many good episodes. If the season keeps on like this (i.e. 80% AWESOME episodes and 20% average ones (eggtown)), it's definitely going to the be the best ever. --Blueeagleislander 23:27, 5 March 2008 (PST)
  • Mr.Leaf usually updates it, but he's been very busy and hasn't been able to edit recently. I have access to create polls now, so I can also help out updating. -- Graft   talk   contributions  19:16, 7 March 2008 (PST)

Latest News Section

Seems to be cluttering the main page. Can we get rid of some of the old stories and clear this thing up? -- Iron Man  Send a message  View contributions  16:48, 5 March 2008 (PST)

What's your resolution? 640x480?    Jabberwock    talk    contribs    email   - 05:48, 6 March 2008 (PST)
I think they mean there's just so many news stories all there at once, and I kind of agree. Are all six stories still relevant? Do we still need to know about extra post-Economist content when we're already weeks past that episode? -random2502 12:04, 6 March 2008 (PST)
I agree. Several of the news articles are not needed anymore, namely Wanted: Via Domus Gamers and Additional Post-Economist Content. The other news items are still current, and are probably more sought=after items of information. -- Sam McPherson  T  C  E  12:08, 6 March 2008 (PST)

Aired episode

The main page needs to be updated to reflect that "The Other Woman," not "The Constant," is the most recently aired episode. --Jeff 09:08, 7 March 2008 (PST)

I'm pretty sure they're waiting until the episode's article looks complete. Last week's episode took awhile to go up, as well. MFXD 09:43, 7 March 2008 (PST)

UK - Next time on Lost

The UK 'Next time on Lost' is wrong, it says we are seeing the new episode of Lost a week early, we haven't seen The Other Woman yet but it says Ji Yeon is on tonight. --Jazza|talk|Contributions 06:28, 9 March 2008 (PDT)

Spring clean?

"Today in Lost History: Nothing happened today in Lost History". I have never seen this box with anything else in it. Do we really need it? It actually makes the page look a bit lame. Add that to the ancient "New Features" and the broken "Featured Article of the Week" and it gives the impression that nothing is happening here. Can somebody have a tidy up please? Some new news items would be nice too. The main page has to look active or it just diminishes from all the hard work everyone puts in elsewhere.--TechNic|talk|conts 14:54, 11 March 2008 (PDT)

I think the News, Spoiler Warning and Next Time On Lost sections could be reduced in size by 50% each. Bring the poll and media appearances up closer to the top, and maybe add a section for links to new transcripts, podcasts etc. what do you think? --Hugo815 15:11, 11 March 2008 (PDT)
If you want to add to the TodayinLost template, go to User:Blue eagle islander/Sandbox to add to it. --Blueeagleislander 00:36, 12 March 2008 (PDT)

Times Change

When you go to daylight time, the time suffix you use for local time also changes. Thus tomorrow night's episode is on at 9 EDT, not 9 EST --Zicsoft 16:07, 12 March 2008 (PDT)

Thanks for the heads up, I've changed it. -- Graft   talk   contributions  16:42, 12 March 2008 (PDT)
I'd completely forgotten that the US added 2 weeks either side to daylight savings!  Plkrtn  talk  contribs  email  15:24, 13 March 2008 (PDT)

Season 4 Writing contest

As much as I loved it, it should be changed now as it still says people can take part in the contest which is now over. Instead why don't you put a note up saying about the option to Continue your own Writing. Which is on the board as wel las directing visitors to the LostPedia Season 4 writing contest page and episode summaries? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by The Whsipers (talkcontribs) 2008-03-14T11:29:52.

Image Problems

Is anyone else seeing problems with the images on various pages?--Phil (talk) 10:05, 14 March 2008 (PDT)

It seems to be okay now. Weird. --Phil (talk) 10:28, 14 March 2008 (PDT)

No sir I am having them also, most noteably on the Ji Yeon article, says error then a URL where the images should be. odd. --Lewis-Talk-Contribs 10:45, 14 March 2008 (PDT)

To be more exact - Error creating thumbnail: convert: unable to open image `/var/www/sites/': Permission denied. convert: missing an image filename `/var/www/sites/ --Lewis-Talk-Contribs 10:48, 14 March 2008 (PDT)

Yeah, now it's back for me. --Phil (talk) 08:12, 15 March 2008 (PDT)

Does anyone know why the images are like this? --Phil (talk) 19:05, 15 March 2008 (PDT)

Has anyone else noticed a slight colour change on the Juliet gun image on the "The Other Woman" page? I left a comment about it on the image talk page. Could it just be my computer?--Baker1000 05:50, 16 March 2008 (PDT)

Colour key

Now I knwo you guys have diofferent colours to represent different status' red-dead, blue-alive with survivors etc. But I think you need another one to signify to readers that some characters maybe alive on the island and deceased in flashforwards, when we learn this information of course, and when it's confirmed. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by The Whsipers (talkcontribs) 2008-03-14T13:46:37.

I think that would be too confusing. Better to stick to the most recent non-flashforward scenes to determine a character's status. - Tvb 19:06, 15 March 2008 (PDT)

I do not particularly like how all the links were changed to green for St. Patricks Day because it makes them difficult to see. --Connor401 17:17, 15 March 2008 (PDT)

I don't really see the difference between green and blue, but if you have a particular eyesight problem you should be able to override in your own browser, or by editing your own personal lostbook.css file (make a sub-page under your user page. See mine for an example: User:jabrwocky7/lostbook.css. If others agree that it's difficult to see it could be reverted. It's just temporary and for a little fun.    Jabberwock    talk    contribs    email   - 18:56, 15 March 2008 (PDT)
I like it. Something different. But blue should definitely remain default. --Blueeagleislander 21:50, 15 March 2008 (PDT)
It will be. Its just for St. Patricks Day!  Plkrtn  talk  contribs  email  04:55, 16 March 2008 (PDT)
I think it's a nice touch. Are there any plans to do this sort of thing on any other holiday? Perhaps Easter?--Baker1000 05:54, 16 March 2008 (PDT)
Yeah, I really like it too :D Made me smile nice and big when I saw it xD -random2502 06:25, 16 March 2008 (PDT)
Yes. We've had this available for a while now. We have several holidays all ready to go. US, Canadian, European and International holidays included. Watch out for this to change again for Easter, very, very soon... Can you guess what we have planned? :D  Plkrtn  talk  contribs  email  09:34, 16 March 2008 (PDT)
I didn't like it at first, because I thought it was permanent and I couldn't change it if I wanted to. Now that I know it's just for St. Patty's Day I don't mind quite so much (and I feel kinda stupid for not figuring that out sooner).--MetallichickX 08:45, 16 March 2008 (PDT)

Love the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow! Are you guys planning on hiding Easter Eggs on easter? -- Iron Man  Send a message  View contributions  11:28, 16 March 2008 (PDT)
