UK Finale Time

The LOST final episode is premiering on Sky1 at 5.00 AM on Monday the 24th, so it is in synchronization with the American times - you should put that information up on the upcoming episodes part of the homepage User: JOSHtheJOKER 10:09 May 22, 2010 (UTC)

"Next time on Lost"

Can the United Kingdom airdates please be changed? It looks odd that everyone else has the penultimate episode whilst we're on the episode that was aired on May 7th.

Also - On May 21st, we've got two special programmes on Sky One: Lost: The End Is Nigh and Lost: The Greatest Scenes, both after next week's episode (and are both available to Irish viewers as well). DitzyNizzy 22:33, May 14, 2010 (UTC)

Relax, the episode aired literally 2 hours ago here. It will be updated.--Baker1000 23:01, May 14, 2010 (UTC)
Then why is it still showing The Candidate as the next episode to be shown, when Sky showed it on May 7th? DitzyNizzy 12:26, May 15, 2010 (UTC)
Ah, I didn't even realise it was that far behind. I'll drop a message on one of the SysOps talk pages to see to it.--Baker1000 12:34, May 15, 2010 (UTC)

It Only Ends Once

So, can we have this as the Next Time on Lost caption after tonight's episode? I.E. Jacob's line in The Incident. I mentioned this back before this season started, and now would be a pretty appropriate time to use it. Burnside65 18:29, May 18, 2010 (UTC)

I think it already does, just on certain days. And if my memory serves me, I already told you that before the season started and you said it didn't change for you, or something like that. What do you see now? It says "The Horror, the Horror" for me right now. Personally I think we should take out all the Rowing Song lyrics now, and bring it back to more relevant Lost quotes. "It Only Ends Once" is a prime example. Another one is "All Roads Lead Here" (Jack to Locke in 2x01, or apparently the other way around before that). We should come up with a few quotes which fit the theme of the show coming to an end.--Baker1000 19:06, May 18, 2010 (UTC)
Yes, all I'm seeing is Wonka stuff. All Roads Lead Here is a great idea, too. Burnside65 20:49, May 18, 2010 (UTC)
"We're very close to the end" - Jacob to Hurley.--Baker1000 23:10, May 20, 2010 (UTC)

The story behind lost.wikia.com and lostpedia

I tried to post this on this site's forum, but I got this message:

"Welcome to the Lostpedia forums! Unfortunately, we've had to begin moderating new users in order to help prevent spoilers from getting out. I'm very sorry for the inconvenience. Your account will be approved as soon as the season finale has aired."

As an outsider looking in, this is freaking ridiculous.

I had my very own Flash-sideways today when I tried to find my edits on the inferior lost.wikia.com that I had made here on Lostpedia. I couldn't for the life of me find them. Only after 15 minutes did I figure out I was on the wrong wikia site.

What is the back story behind lost.wikia.com and lostpedia? Why are there two Lost wikias? Can anyone create a second wikia site on any subject? How does your two sites deal with plagiarism between sites? i.e. what is preventing one site from taking all the content from another site?

Also, I have to say, this site is incredible! The gold standard of wikias, showing wikia's true potential. Over at another wikia I edit, everyone uses this wikia as a measuring stick of greatness, I am constantly hearing "lostpedia" does it, as justification for x or y. Anno1404 06:54, May 19, 2010 (UTC)

Lostpedia moved to Wikia hosting in 2009. The Lost wikia already existed and was not replaced. Lostpedia was originally hosted and maintained independently by the founder, Kevin Croy.    Jabberwock    talk    contribs    email   - 21:40, May 19, 2010 (UTC)
thank you Mr. Croy for your time! Anno1404 15:45, May 20, 2010 (UTC)

The End in the United Kingdom

As a heads-up when it comes to change it, Sky One announced today (May 20) that they'll be showing it at 5am on Monday morning (May 24th) as a simulcast with America. DitzyNizzy 22:25, May 20, 2010 (UTC)

'The End' Irish Airdate

RTÉ Two will now be airing 'The End' Monday May 24th at 9pm, moved up from its usual Thursday slot. Could someone update this please? Also, the schedule on the main page is still listing 'Across the sea' and 'What they died for' for Ireland, they've both aired, if soemone could update this as well please. Thanks. MR IRISH 14:36, May 21, 2010 (UTC)

Here's a source for the above: http://www.rte.ie/arts/2010/0521/lost.html MR IRISH 14:43, May 21, 2010 (UTC)

The recap 'Lost:The Final Journey' airs in Ireland on RTÉ 2 at 00:20 Tuesday night/Wednesday morning (25/26th May) source: http://entertainment.ie/tv/display.asp , even though the finale will have already aired on Monday at 9pm. Any chance some one could update the Irish (and UK also) airdates before the finale airs? Thanks. MR IRISH 15:57, May 22, 2010 (UTC)

Mistake on 'Next time on Lost' section

It lists the next episode in Ireland as 'What they died for' on 22nd May at 5am. This is not the case. To clarify, the remaining episodes for Ireland area as follows

'The End' - Monday 24th May at 9pm, RTÉ 2. 'Lost: The Final Journey' - Wednesday 26th May at 00:20am

(RTÉ are airing the recap after the finale due tot he finale being brought foward)MR IRISH 20:03, May 22, 2010 (UTC)

Yes, it's correct now. Thank you. :D--Baker1000 01:07, May 23, 2010 (UTC)

Right, so the finale as aired in the UK now, as well as the clip show. So that needs an little update to say the finale aired May 24th, 2010 at 5am. Could we also add to both the US and UK when the S6 DVD is out? August 24th for the US, and September 20th in the UK, I believe. It's all we have to look forward to for the next few months!!--Baker1000 13:10, May 29, 2010 (UTC)

"You can let go now"

i'm probably being nitpicky, but "You can let go now" reminds me too much of "you can go now", what Christian said to Michael in "There's No Place Like Home", which is kind of a grim statement. how about something a little more uplifting from the finale, like the last line of the series, as said by Locke, "We've been waiting a long time for you" (or something along those lines), "Not leaving... Moving on", "The End", etc. Bassrockindrew 10:31, May 25, 2010 (UTC)

Reply It reminds me of Rose's line in "LA X, Parts 1 & 2" which was referenced in the "The End".    Jabberwock    talk    contribs    email   - 14:51, May 25, 2010 (UTC)
Reply "You can let go now" is not happening for me at all. It's way to close to the finale for me to see this on the main page everytime I visit. It makes me uber-sad. Almost any quote other than this cause quite honestly, I can't let go right now. Ripple619 11:57, May 27, 2010 (UTC)
I thought it was a nice touch personally. We do have to let go of the show now. Not forget about it, but move on and take with us all the good memories.--Baker1000 12:18, May 27, 2010 (UTC)

Characters on the Portal at the Bottom

The main characters/supporting characters needs uber-updating. None of the six bonus main characters have been added, and Ilana, Frank and The Mani in Black are listed as both supporting and main. --TowerCraneDriver 11:29, May 27, 2010 (UTC)

Reply I have temporarily removed the template:index from the main page and unprotected it so updates can be made by the community. Please reply back when completed. I don't want to leave it off of the main page for too long.    Jabberwock    talk    contribs    email   - 15:24, May 27, 2010 (UTC)
Reply I have updated the main character, putting them in appearance order, but the supp. characters could probably still do with some review. It'd be another several hours before I could get to it though. --TowerCraneDriver 22:15, May 27, 2010 (UTC)
Reply I got to it sooner than expected: both main and supporting characters have been updated (supporting as per the Supp. Char portal). Supporting characters have been listed alphabetically by their most common name - perhaps they should mirror the main characters and be listed by episode count, but I was just going off the existing pattern (and think that's probably better in the end anyhow - it makes the names easier to find). --TowerCraneDriver 23:15, May 27, 2010 (UTC)
Reply I added it back to the main page.    Jabberwock    talk    contribs    email   - 15:12, May 30, 2010 (UTC)

lost australia schedule

season 4 double episodes are on 111 hits on sunday nights at 10.30pm rather than saturdays as the main page suggests.

Season 3 is now airing, not season 4.--SonicWeaponFence 14:02, July 11, 2010 (UTC)

next time on lost, do we need it?

since lost has ended and that box is for telling us when the next epiosde of lost is, do we still need it or is it useless now? --Lostwillnevarend 09:19, June 6, 2010 (UTC)

Well, we can still use it to tell people when the DVD is out in their country. I suggested it above (I think) but it probably wasn't noticed. If ABC decide to start airing it from the beginning again I guess we could use it for that. If not, it's best to change the name to something like "Last Time on Lost" so we can document when the series ended in the countries listed.--Baker1000 12:15, June 6, 2010 (UTC)
I was waiting until it finished up in all the listed countries. Re-tooling that section for the DVD release is another good idea. Anyone care to compile a list of dates?    Jabberwock    talk    contribs    email   - 15:34, June 7, 2010 (UTC)
Obviously there is USA and Canada which is August 24th. UK and Ireland is September 20th. Not sure about Australia, I think it's around September or October from Google searches. Can't find anywhere online that lists it (they don't have an Amazon.au!!!). No idea about New Zealand. I don't know where to look for releases in the rest of Europe, etc.--Baker1000 19:12, June 7, 2010 (UTC)
