Rename[]
Kilo is a nickname, so it's possible that his real name is similar to Kilo. According to the script, the name of this character is Kiley, and this is similar to Kilo. So, we can assumed his real name is Kiley, and should we rename this article to Kiley? Or like Neil case, rename this article to Kiley "Kilo"? BTW, it looks like Kiley is his surname, so should we rename this article to "Kilo" Kiley? Sroczynski (talk) 11:48, August 4, 2012 (UTC)
- I'm unsure on this one. He was credited as Kilo in the episode, and I see no evidence that it was his surname and Kilo was a nickname. I would pronounce them differenly (Kiley as in Kylie and Kilo as in Kilogram) so I don't think it was a nickname based off his surname. It should be noted that Charlie's brother Liam is actually called Ian in the script, and seems to have been changed last minute. There's no draft indication on the script for "Confidence Man" but it looks like it was pretty early judging by the date. - I guess it wasn't based on the pronunciation, it was based on the spelling, as both "Kiley" and "Kilo" are beginning with "Kil", so it's possible that his nickname is Kilo and his real name is Kiley. And according to the script, Sawyer called him "Mr. Kiley", so we can assume Kiley is his surname. Sroczynski (talk) 14:12, August 4, 2012 (UTC)
They could also both be nicknames, or they could both be real names. Perhaps he was scripted with one name but the show went with the other in the end. (For example, Liam was scripted as "Ian.")--- Balk Of Fame ♪ talk 14:28, August 4, 2012 (UTC)
- But before I edited the article, it listed "Kilo" with quotation mark. And about the infobox, it listed Unknown as his name, so I believe Kilo is a nickname. Sroczynski (talk) 15:05, August 4, 2012 (UTC)

- Sorry, I didn't see the line where he calls him Kiley. Although that line never made it to the episode even with a different name. (that scene is quite a bit longer than what we got) We need to change the canon policy here to reflect what we count as canon in these scripts and what we consider non-canon. Obviously anything which never made it to the episode is the same as deleted scenes that were shot. They're non-canon, they're ideas that were either changed or scrapped for not being important enough. We shouldn't count any names given in lines cut from the final episode as canon. As for names given in descriptions? As long as the characters are in scenes that did air, any name given IMO can be considered canon. We have both here, although I am tempted to say just stick with what name we got from the press release but the problem is that it could be a nickname based off of the name given in the script.--Baker1000 (talk) 16:43, August 4, 2012 (UTC)
