J.J. Bradley, right
According to User:Jjbradley, who appears to be John Jamal Bradley, the Kid this article regards is actually caucasian, and is pictured with Malcolm David Kelley to the right. -- Sam McPherson T C E 01:28, 26 April 2009 (UTC)
- Well, I hope J.J. will forgive me for the honest mistake in image choice. Please allow me to explain. In the episode, Walt exits the school with a group of three friends coming out of the door behind him: a shorter caucasian boy, a taller caucasian boy (apparently J.J.), and the taller, darker skinned-boy currently pictured. When Walt pauses to look at Locke from across the street, his three friends pass him and the first two--the white boys--move off-screen. By the time Walt delivers his (apparently ad-libbed) line alerting his friends that he isn't going to keep up with them, only the third, the darker-skinned boy currently pictured, is still on-screen. This third boy's mouth moves, but it is not clear that the dialogue coming through over the sound track is actually coming from this third boy. The taller caucasian boy's face is never clearly seen in the episode as it was aired, so it is impossible to acquire a good canonical substitute picture, unless we want to show the back of J.J.'s head, or J.J. from far away. Here is the dialogue as it appeared in the closed captioning stream:
| “ |
WALT: Um, I'm--I'm-a be right back. I'm-a go. |

- Here are the best pictures I could get, cropped and uncropped. Robert K S tell me 02:24, 26 April 2009 (UTC)
- Added a third image in which you can see all three friends of Walt's in a row (plus some out-of-focus Asian lady on her cell phone). Robert K S tell me 02:54, 26 April 2009 (UTC)

Nice job everyone[]
Hi, this is John's mom. I was also on set that day as an extra, as well as watching the footage several times. We're just amazed at how thorough and detailed you folks all are at looking at who was who. It certainly goes by fast enough to wonder who was doing what! Yes, John is the Caucasian you folks show. No offense meant, no offense taken; don't worry! And as a PS, I believe the name of the school is "Fieldcrest," not "Fieldcroft." I zoomed in on another shot I have of John's logo'ed uniform shirt, but it only says "FS." I think I only saw the name painted on the sign they placed above the door. John or myself would be happy to try to answer any more questions. It's been really fun for us to be involved in LOST. John's father (my husband) and I have been extras on several episodes in the last several years.Jjbradley 08:43, 20 May 2009 (UTC)John's mom
