Sarah theory[]

Well I think the Sarah theory has been debunked. ;) Magnoliasouth 05:19, 8 October 2006 (PDT)

  • Well, still always the possibility that Sarah was seeing more than one person, we did after all know she was seen with two guys in "A Tale of Two Cities", so she was a bit promiscuous, to put it kindly. :) I agree it does make it less likely... --PandoraX 15:25, 16 October 2006 (PDT)
    • Just as a question - why does it make her promiscuous at all? Why can't the two guys just be her friends that Jack doesn't know about? Jae Lee could still be her actual lover (do you really think Sarah would let her lover take her to Jack, who was being bloody obsessive about him?) My personal bet is that the two guys are just friends (and red herrings to the audience) and the actual lover is someone we already know... --Andyroo316 15:47, 16 October 2006 (PDT)

rename[]

rename: clumsy title that doesn't conform to standard formatting. rename to [[Unknown Woman (Jae Lee)]] or something. --kaini. 19:53, 12 October 2006 (PDT)

Well, I followed the Sarah Shephard's Lover format, and the woman is generally known amongst Lost and Lostpedia fans as 'Jae Lee's American woman'...Jae Lee should be capitalized since it's his name, American should be capitalized since America is a proper noun and woman shouldn't. It should have an apostrophe to conform to standard English and behold! - We have a perfectly acceptable page title already. --Andyroo316 22:48, 12 October 2006 (PDT)
I agree. I don't see anything wrong with this title. Its how the character is refered to in the community, and although we use Wiki software, we don't stick to the rigid rules Wikipedia sets. There isn't any "standard formatting" for something like this. -- Plkrtn  talk  contribs  email  04:32, 13 October 2006 (PDT)
I also agree that this name seems fine. There is no set protocol and the title is about as clear as it needs to be. --Stevemarks 19:31, 13 October 2006 (PDT)
to put it in wikipedia terms it was only a weak support on my part anyway... if the majority are fine with it, so am i. i'm removing the rename template accordingly. --kaini. 19:37, 13 October 2006 (PDT)

On the narrative changes here[]

Just explaining here, because this keeps getting changed to "things didn't work out with the American woman, so Jae moved back to Korea". This is not true, because it was while he was living in Korea that he told Sun he was going back to America, so he did not move back to Korea because the relationship didn't work out... more likely it was because he graduated college and was helping at the Seoul Gateway. The way he described it to Sun at the time, he was still pursuing the long distance relationship until he could get a chance (6 months from then) to go back to her; all that happened before he really got to know Sun. --PandoraX 15:23, 16 October 2006 (PDT)

No, when Jae asks Sun why she keeps coming to their "lessons" even though she is now fluent, she tells him she plans to move to America. Jae then explains he went to America for the woman, but indicates that he now regrets doing that. This is explained in The_Whole_Truth. - GoodRom 10:44, 4 December 2006 (PST)

Penelope Widmore (removed from article page)[]

  • When Desmond gets discharged, he learns from Penelope's father that she is supposed to get married. But since Penelope finds Desmond at the race tracks she probably calls off the marriage and Jae Lee goes back to Korea.
  • Considering Charles Widmore did not approve of Desmond, and that he approved Penelope's marriage, we might assume that she was getting married to another high-society type like Jae Lee.
  • We know that Sun had learned to sail prior to coming to the island. She may have learned this from Jae Lee, an avid sailer, who has participated in Charles Widmore's sailing race around the world.

Took this out, Jae Lee specifically refers to an American woman, which Penny obviously is not. --Minderbinder 10:24, 20 October 2006 (PDT)
