Redundant article - it contains no new info or analysis that isn't already in the "There's No Place Like Home, Part 1" article. Most likely, the case has no greater significance than being a plot device. Kevrock 13:45, 16 May 2008 (PDT)

  • Keep, as valid as other articles about items seen in only one episode- eg. Richard's items. Gizmomogwai 10:18, 17 May 2008 (PDT)
    • Keep and Rename, I'm all for Gizmomogwai's argument... But, for example, in "One of Us", Juliet goes to Tree_mark to fetch a medical black case, and that medical kit does not have an article, so, I suggest the existence of an article about small items hidden on Island places, for example, with the name Hidden items locations, or, Hidden items Drop-off points... Well, you get the idea. (The)Batmagoo(BatmanMagoo)
      • Keep, Agree with Batmagoo, however i think we should stick to separate articles for the time being. I'll clean up the article a bit aswell. --Lilduff90 23:36, 18 May 2008 (PDT)
      • Agree. Maybe all the various hidden stashes around the island could be merged into a single, condensed article.-- Lost Locke 21:19, 30 July 2008 (PDT)
    • Keep per Batmagoo. --Blueeagleislander 02:18, 19 May 2008 (PDT)
  • Keep, per Batmagoo. But what should we rename it to? Let's reach a consensus on that below.-- Sam McPherson  T  C  E  05:00, 19 May 2008 (PDT)
  • Keep - My gut feeling is that this thing will be significant in the finale (Ben's reaction to finding it, the way in which he comments on the age of the crackers - both seemed a bit odd and raise legitimate questions), and if it's not then it's easy enough to delete later. --Doc 12:34, 19 May 2008 (PDT)
  • Keep - an item worthy of its own page. --CTS 19:01, 22 May 2008 (PDT)

Rename

What shall it be renamed to? Or merged with? -- Sam McPherson  T  C  E  05:00, 19 May 2008 (PDT)

  • What about Island Caches? A cache is defined as "a hiding place, esp. one in the ground, for ammunition, food, treasures, etc.: She hid her jewelry in a little cache in the cellar."[1] Kevrock 10:01, 19 May 2008 (PDT)
    • A bit too detailed. I doubt someone looking for the article on this would type in "Island Caches." But something simple like that, maybe like "Island dropoff points" should be easier. -- Sam McPherson  T  C  E  12:14, 19 May 2008 (PDT)
      • I found another site that describes it, appropriately enough, as "the stores of provisions hidden by travelers or explorers on their journeys."[2] So yes, it maybe a bit esoteric, but it is IMHO the most technically correct word. Some synonyms would be store, stockpile, hoard, collection, reserve, hiding place, cubby hole, backlog, nest egg, treasure... oh, I know... how about Island Stashes? I think that is a common enough term people would search for it. We could probably put in some redirects, too. Kevrock 12:25, 19 May 2008 (PDT)
    • Island Stashes sounds great. I like it. I'll put in the merge tag with that in it. -- Sam McPherson  T  C  E  12:26, 19 May 2008 (PDT)
  • More votes needed. I abstain though lol. --Nickb123 (Talk) 16:39, 19 June 2008 (PDT)
    • But since I, the creator of the page, feel I made a mistake in naming the page when I created it (as well as the above people agreeing for a rename), isn't that enough? -- Sam McPherson  T  C  E  16:07, 1 July 2008 (PDT)
I'm more just not liking "Island stashes", hence my abstain. Even though you created the page, I don't see a problem in people proposing other titles that may sound better (unless there are any more votes cast in support "Island stashes", at which point I'll concede and move to this). --Nickb123 (Talk) 16:32, 1 July 2008 (PDT)
Ah, okay. Hope I didn't seem too holier-than-thou, it's not what I had intended. -- Sam McPherson  T  C  E  16:34, 1 July 2008 (PDT)

I'm going to jump in and say I like "Island stashes" a bit better. "Hidden case" reminds me a bit too much of the Haliburton from Whatever the Case May Be.-- Lost Locke 21:13, 30 July 2008 (PDT)

OK, island stashes it is, but as you're pluralizing it, I'm gonna briefly mention "Other stashes", namely the one under Juliet's tree mark. --Nickb123 (Talk) 06:56, 11 August 2008 (PDT)

What Dharma logo is on the box?

  • This question should be removed, because there is no logo on the case. The soda crackers box has the Swan logo. --Kemot from Poland 05:56, 20 May 2008 (PDT)
  • If this keeps coming up, we'll have to add it to the Persistent rumors article. Kevrock 07:46, 20 May 2008 (PDT)
