There is a debate wheter this article could use a chart with pictures and information about the food in Hurley's stash. This is what it would look like:
| Item | Pic | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Apollo Candy Bars |
|
|
| Applesause |
| |
| Assorted Cookies |
| |
| Cerael |
| |
| Cheese Puffs |
| |
| Crepes Au Chocolat |
| |
| Kidney Beans |
| |
| Mandarian Oranges |
| |
| Marshmallows |
| |
| Pears | ||
| Peanut Butter |
|
|
| Potato Chips |
| |
| Potatos |
| |
| Ranch Dressing |
|
|
| Sweet Peas |

All the entries would be kinda the same i.e a picture of that stash and this is what is found in the stash. Although if there was a food article the template would definately fit in there. --Princess Dharma (banned) 14:00, 19 February 2007 (PST)
- The tables and templates on this site are going overboard, IMO. Special layout like that should be used when they enhance the information-finding aspects of this encyclopedic site, rather than just having them as extra flashy bells and whistles that make the page needlessly long and complex. In this case, there is nothing about this article that needs this much detail that a table is necessary (you have to think--what is the average person who looks up this item on LP looking for? Does he or she really NEED to know what the UPC symbol on the can looks like?). And yes, we have a food article already. --PandoraX 14:04, 19 February 2007 (PST)
- My initial feeling would be to say a table would be useful for having pictures of everything. Except I would make the pictures smaller width (square) and crop all the images to just the specific item mentioned. But then I realized in this specific case, all the food labels look so similar that there's not really any benefit to having a picture of each, which is the only reason I think we'd need a table. In this case, I think a list is better. But I say feel free to put the complete text of the label next to each item. And have at least one close up example of the generic looking label, One close up of Hurley's stash, and one close up of the Swan food stores and the supply drop, and pictures of any unusual examples like the Apollo bar. I would rename or merge this if it already exists with "DHARMA supplies" or something similar since that is what takes up the bulk of the article. You can redirect "Hurley's Stash" here and mention it as one of the places the supplies ended up in a sub section. --Jackdavinci 14:49, 19 February 2007 (PST)
- For the 3rd time, please check food :) We have that page already. If we DO have a consensus to have a table with thumbs for everything (not thinking this is necessary personally, I think a few select photos, as seen on food already, is best), then it should be that page. --PandoraX 14:53, 19 February 2007 (PST)
- Actually, i have been working on this article and once I get a few more pictures I plan to put it up, so in reality this chart isn't needed (although I don't care if it stays). just thought I'd let you all know. -Mr.Leaf 14:58, 19 February 2007 (PST)
- Oh well, I tryed --Mr. Crabby (Talk) 12:03, 20 February 2007 (PST)
Merge with food[]
- Agree I think we should just merge this article with food and/or supply drop. My preference is:
- Hurley's stash - Redirect page to "DHARMA supplies". Place the list of items with just a few stand out images on "DHARMA supplies". Make a subsection on "DHARMA supplies" describing the use of the the items in Hurley's stash.
- The Swan (#Pantry) - change to see also "DHARMA supplies". Make a subsection on "DHARMA supplies" about the pantry.
- Food for all DHARMA related info, move list to "DHARMA supplies" and change to see also "DHARMA supplies".
- supply drop - rename to "DHARMA supplies", create subsesctions for the supply drop, the Swan pantry, Hurley's stash, supplies at other stations.
I think this is the best way to organize this information. --Jackdavinci 17:02, 19 February 2007 (PST)
- Not all the food is DHARMA supplies. I don't see why this is such a big deal, there's an article on food, there's an article on supply drop. Things seemed fine to me before all this hassle over tables and infoboxes. -PandoraX 12:12, 20 February 2007 (PST)
- As I stated above, we'd just move the DHARMA supplies off of the food page and leave the rest of the food page alone. We'd rename the supply drop page to "DHARMA supplies" and put the stuff about Hurley's stash, the supply drop, the pantry, and other DHARMA station supplies on the "DHARMA supplies" page as subsections. The food page would still exist for non DHARMA related food information. In any case, all the stuff on this page is already on the food page so there's no need for it as a seperate article. --Jackdavinci 16:43, 20 February 2007 (PST)
