It seems obvious that the "him" they are referring to would be their replacement, who has been promised to them. -Chris[dt7] 14:00, 18 April 2007 (PDT)

  • Keep It's not obvious to me or a lot of people that it's a simple replacement. "Him" is mentioned more than once, with great emotional intensity, in a more mysterious fashion than would be appropriate for a simple replacement. Both times there was an elaborate code (Snowman) involved. And several articles referring to this "Him" link out and could otherwise be confused with Jacob.
  • Delete, it might not be obvious at first, but its logical that they are referring to their replacement/new partner--Gonzalo84 18:49, 18 April 2007 (PDT)
  • Keep ... well, we can conclude and deduce many things, but does not mean anything. Unless it's stated somewhere or confirmed on screen, I myself deduce from the way they ask the question that 'Him' is somebody more important than just a simple replacement. --Maith 02:15, 19 April 2007 (PDT)
    • Comment: Him could be anyone. Folks at The Swab just know that they will have an eventual replacement. This "Him" is not a unique unseen character, merely someone they expect, and not like some individual, like Godot.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Gonzalo84 (talkcontribs) .
  • Delete Fairly pontless article which just explains the bleedin' obvious. All this info is covered in several other places anyway.--TechNic|talk|conts 13:06, 20 April 2007 (PDT)
  • Delete A useless article whose contents can simply be merged into the Jacob article as a theory. As for the disambiguiation page (Him) convert it into a redirect to Jacob. --Gateboy42 13:15, 20 April 2007 (PDT)
    • This article has nothing to do with Jacob, that's kind of the point...--Jackdavinci 14:21, 21 April 2007 (PDT)
  • Rename Rename to 'Swan replacement' Him is clearly a different to him and he should be considered a character. --Jazza 13:40, 20 April 2007 (PDT)
    • At no point do Desmond or Kelvin use the word "replacement". Why would both Desmond and Kelvin be waiting with such intensity for the arrival of such a specifically worded person. Why not say "are you my replacement" or "are you from DHARMA" instead of "are you Him?" as though it's one person in particular. Also, if it's a replacement, why isn't it two people they are waiting for instead of one? Why did the writers make such a big deal out of it if it's not important? --Jackdavinci 14:21, 21 April 2007 (PDT)
  • Delete "him" is obviously just a pronoun. Kelvin was told that there would come someone to replace him. He didn't know his name. What would he call that person, if not "him"? If it's really necessary to have an article of this - non existant - person, renaming, as Jazza suggest, is the proper thing to do. Pierre80 04:12, 21 April 2007 (PDT)
  • Delete This article is pointless, as it can be deduced from simple thought that they were reffering to the replacements. Furthermore it confuses an issue which shouldn't really need to be confused. There are enough questions in this show without people creating unnecessary ones. This article only serves to hinder the purpose of this website, which is to collect important information and try and get some sense out of the show.Paulus2 18:36, 21 April 2007 (GMT)
  • Delete It's clear they were referring to a potential replacement. Beyond that, I don't think there should be articles for characters that don't even exist. --Slugless 12:27, 21 April 2007 (PDT)
  • Delete Why are we having articles for potential characters? --Blueeagleislander 19:54, 22 April 2007 (PDT)
    • Like Robert or Montand or Brennan? --Maith 04:40, 26 April 2007 (PDT)
      • Comment, Robert, Montand and Brennan are part of the history, not just a possibility.--Gonzalo84 14:06, 26 April 2007 (PDT)
  • Delete Why not create a page for the cats mother while were at it! --Hit and miss 14:44, 23 April 2007 (PDT)
  • Delete The fact is, no replacement ever came. No replacement was ever going to come. Also, no articles whatsoever link to this page (except for disambiguation). Triptolemus 15:28, 23 April 2007 (PDT)
  • Delete per above. Also the Swan and The Flame were destroyed, so there's no way they get a replacement now. --Darkmaster 16:03, 23 April 2007 (PDT)
  • Keep We do not know that this is about the Swan replacement, Desmond could simply be asking the same question that Kelvin asked him because it was the same question he was asked. The fact that there is so much debate on this thread means it should be kept. --MageRage 13:15, 24 April 2007 (PDT)
  • Comment: Well I guess we keep strange theories that have no base or facts supporting them but we'll delete some mystery to the show. What about the snowman joke, i guess everyone waiting for a replacement will be telling jokes. --Maith 05:30, 24 April 2007 (PDT)
  • Delete For all the reasons above. --Berethor222 08:50, 24 April 2007 (PDT)
  • Delete- We don't need it--Phil (talk) 09:18, 24 April 2007 (PDT)
  • Delete I think that for sure this mysterious replacement should have a page, but now is not the time and here is not the place. I think the same thing for a lot of insignificant characters and stub pages for actors. It is unnecessary for one person to have a page that says in one sentence that this person was in the background and then have a link to the actor which say that this person played as a background character in this episode. ya' know? It just excessive and unnecessary. Instead of creating an elaborate web of background characters it would be incredibly more efficient to provide a list at the bottom of each episode page and if there is not a sufficient amount of information regarding one or more of the listed persons, then there is no need to make a page or put a link for their name.--Airwavejoker 14:14, 26 April 2007 (PDT)
