Helen order[]

Shouldn't Katey Sagal be the first Helen and phone-sex lady be the second? Time-wise, Sagal's the first Helen in Locke's life? Thoughts?

The article clearly says: "The second Helen actually pre-dates the first chronologically.", if you want to switch them around - you can. --skks 11:34, 31 March 2006 (PST)

I changed the order and numbering.--Tigerlily 21:21, 26 June 2006 (PDT)

Split?[]

Shouldn't this be two different articles?

No, we don't have enough info on Helen 1 or Helen 2. They would be stubs.--CaptainInsano
As I put as a theory - they are both the same person (Katey Sagal just hadn't been hired yet and so couldn't put her voice to the episode in Season 1 - we need to wait for Season 1 to be repeated and see if Katey has put her voice to it. Also - they may not change it at all and explain it in another episode that the Katey Helen also works as a phonesex worker).Andyroo316
That too.--CaptainInsano
I think that John just preferred to call her Helen, maybe so that he feels like he's talking to the real Helen. She might as well have just any name, it doesn't matter during phone sex. Who knows what her real name might be. --TPIMaster 12:00, 1 August 2006 (PDT)
I think it's fairly obvious at this point (Nov 06) that they are two people; Locke's Helen is not a phone (sex?) operator who is going to charge him money to talk to him; she was a woman who was in a real relationship with him, and after the breakup, didn't want to have anything to do with him. Even if they got back together in some unseen scene, it's unlikely that she would charge him money to talk on the phone; I think this was to show Locke's ongoing obsessive nature, that he would pay someone to play her. As such, I'm going to make an article on the other lady, just to keep them separate. Ps: oops, just saw the note with the official confirmation of 2 different people; splitting and adding that note to the main section. --PandoraX 09:48, 6 November 2006 (PST)

Most definitely. --Marik7772003 10:22, 6 November 2006 (PST)

Sarah's mom??[]

Is there any evidence to suggest that Helen 1 may be Sarah's mom? Does she even mention being married previously or having a kid at all? --Minderbinder 10:19, 26 September 2006 (PDT)

My Lord. Sarah's Mom hasn't even been on the show. She was mentioned. If we do this anyone that can make their voice sound like a lady's could be Helen.--CaptainInsano 12:46, 26 September 2006 (PDT)

Bring Helen Back[]

She was one of my favorite flashback characters, and it would be cool to see her on the island, or in another persons flashback.

--Apollo Candy 14:55, 25 June 2007 (PDT)

I agree! I hope she comes back in season five... I mean, she could go to Locke's funeral or something. -- Lost Without Libby

I agree desperately !!!Four4elements 05:07, 20 January 2009 (UTC)

Rename to Helen Norwood[]

  • It's her given name. Agree. --Xbenlinusx 03:51, 26 February 2009 (UTC)

Aneurysm Connection?[]

Anyone else think it's a little too convenient that Helen died from an apparent brain aneurysm, the very affliction of Minkowski and (perhaps) Charlotte? Are the writers trying to suggest that Helen attempted to reach the island, albeit, unsuccessfully?--Pjd9779 03:49, 1 March 2009 (UTC)

  • Agreed; it's the first thing that came to my mind. Not sure if she was trying to reach the island, but of all the things she could have died from... dr. benway 11:38, 2 March 2009 (UTC)

Afterlife section[]

As with some of the other characters, it's not at all clear that flash-sideways Helen was actually afterlife Helen. She wasn't in the church and experienced no flashes that could have conclusively shown they were linked. It doesn't make sense that Locke wouldn't bring her with him if she was wakenable. I would like to propose that the two be re-split. Actually, I think all of the flash-sideways character articles should be restored, but I realize that may not have consensus. Here, there should be fairly ready consensus that evidence is against this being the real-life Helen.  Robert K S   tell me  23:27, June 1, 2010 (UTC)
