Naming with "The"[]

Just for future reference, it's always easier to name things without an article in the beginning, like "The". It later creates wikification problems, because people tend not to link the "The" part. --PandoraX 15:38, 12 October 2006 (PDT)

The Others Decoy Camp[]

I think we should Rename the page. The Others don't live there. I think it should be called The Decoy Camp, according to Colleen. Who agrees with me? --James W. 08:25, 15 October 2006 (PDT)

  • I concur, although I don't think the door was necessarily a decoy. It may have been used previously and was used as a point of reference by the others.--MightyRearranger 18:09, 15 October 2006 (PDT)
  • support: although i prefer Decoy camp or a variation of this as a name. --kaini. 18:22, 15 October 2006 (PDT)
  • support: The "decoy village" is the exact term used by Colleen (Ben did not mention it). --Kivipat
  • Support for rename to Decoy village Robert K S 13:49, 18 October 2006 (PDT)
  • Support: Decoy village now we've seen that that's what the others call it. --Minderbinder 14:58, 18 October 2006 (PDT)

Rewrite[]

Looking through the history there have been edits since the rewrite tag, and I personally think that the article reads rather good. Will remove rewrite tag if noone objects.   Hooper   talk    contribs    email   11:21, 21 March 2007 (PDT)

Rename again[]

Though the camp decoyed the survivors for a while, and the Door was a definite decoy, we've since seen that:

  1. The Others really did live in yurts before the Barracks. ("Dead Is Dead")  ("The Variable")  ("Follow the Leader")
  2. The Others returned to their previous way of life after leaving the Barracks. ("Follow the Leader")
  3. Not all Others lived in the Barracks from 1992 to 2004. ("LA X, Part 2")  ("What Kate Does")  ("Sundown")

This suggests that this was a real village where the Others once lived. They may have moved back from 2005 to 2007. Some may even have really lived there when they kept Michael. --- Balk Of Fametalk 12:38, May 4, 2010 (UTC)

No Unlikely a village like that would have been in an advanced state of decay after 12 years of being left unattended. While the Others did live in similar villages this one is most likely a fake.--Thelamppost 14:19, June 18, 2010 (UTC)
