  • Disagree: Because I have been a major person in re-doing this article because lostpedia suggested it. I worked hard, don't delete it!--Phryrosebdeco23 11:04, February 28, 2010 (UTC)
  • Merge, this article is very redundant to both Rivalries and The Rules. Also, keeping this article is same as creating an article about Jack and Lockes' rivalry, Boone's death, Claire's pregnancy or Ji Yeon's birth. It is mentioned in a sub-section on the Rivalries article so it really is an article that should be deleted/merged. Orhan94 16:12, 27 February 2009 (UTC)
  • Merge: With Rivalries.--Tricksterson 16:14, 27 February 2009 (UTC)
  • Disagree: Completely false to compare to "Jack and Lockes' rivalry, Boone's death, Claire's pregnancy or Ji Yeon's birth". Jack vs Locke is basically the Science vs Faith article, as for the other three, it has nothing to do with this. Ben/Widmore is a central and probably the most important conflict on the show and for the Island. Obviously the article is currently a stub (it has very recently been created), much info can be added (gleaned from The Shape of Things to Come, Jughead, The Life and Death of Jeremy Bentham, and other epis). A paragraph in a burried list does not do justice to the importance of the Widmore/Ben conflict. Moreover, "The Rules" is most likely a general guideline regarding time travel and the use of info taken from The Orchid or wherever (indicated by Pierre Chang's rules, Abaddon, and the Second Protocol) and therefore cannot encompass the Widmore/Ben conflict. This major conflict deserves its own page. - TheAma1 16:17, 27 February 2009 (UTC)
    • The navigation difficulty is an integral part of the storyline, but it still doesn't deserve it's own article as it is redundant to The Island, also many off-island cities and towns, such as L.A. and Sydney have a big part in Lost's storyline, though they don't have an article because they are redundant to Locations, the same way this article is to The Rules/Rivalries. Even though I completely agree that a small paragraph on Rivalries is not enough for a major thing such as the Linus/Widmore war, IMO this article doesn't follow the format of other articles on LP, that are credited characters, important locations, items and events and justified lists. Maybe a sub-section on Conflict will cover the info on this article. --Orhan94 16:34, 27 February 2009 (UTC)
      • Conflict refers to actual battles and we have as of yet not seen a "real battle" so to speak between Ben and Widmore since their conflict has been pretty vague so far. As for the format of the article, that's what the "edit this page" tab is for. Again, the article is currently a stub (like every other article has been before) since it has been newly created. No one is asking for it to be featured on the main page, just that the conflict deserve its own page given its scope. Also, the conflict cannot be compared to cities and Locations. If you want to compare it to something, then compare it to the DHARMA page(s), the stations, and all their derivatives. The Island article also has some specific main articles regarding flaura, plants, animals and such, so why not a major rivalrie as Ben/Widmore is? - TheAma1 16:39, 27 February 2009 (UTC)
  • Merge with the rules. The entire basis for the Linus/Widmore conflict is the still undefined rules. Keeping this page fragments attempts at analysis.--Jim in Georgia Contribs Talk 14:45, 7 April 2009 (UTC)
