Just a couple of observations here but:
- where did they get all the tarps & canvases to create these shelters? It couldn't have all come from the hatch or the plane...
- the shelters actually look pretty flimsy. one wind storm could wipe out most of these shelters.

- Austrailia is the world's leading tarp exporter so there were probably some on the plane--CaptainInsano
- Australia is also the world's leading kangaroo exporter. Does that mean we should be questioning why there's not more kangaroos around the beach camp? Or did they all die from the crash. Joking aside, there's no reason to believe there'd be that many tarps on the plane unless someone brought them, and being an exporter doesn't explain why a passenger plane is carrying them. Unless a passenger couldn't believe the low low prices of tarp down under and just had to stock up. The amount of tarps on the island is not believable, but doesn't really matter. -- macosx 15:58, 19 December 2007 (PST)

Large Structure[]
Towards the End of Season 2, Charlie, Sayid and some one else are talking about "Henry" infront of a rather big structure compared to the rest of the structures. Can someone post a picture of this (and some theories on the theory page would be nice) ZEKE?(>
- I don't have a picture of it, but they're building a communal dining/food-prep area. It's apparently been completed in Season 3. --Shodan1138 16:49, 23 November 2006 (PST)
- Didn't it used to be Shannon's shelter? I remember her having standing ontop of a bamboo table thing and she was having trouble with a tarp or something. I dont remember which episode it was from. --LostCloverfield42 21:15, 27 June 2008 (PDT)
- I know that it is the kitchen, but what I'm saying, is that didn't it used to be Shannon's shealter converted into the kitchen. They started working on it after Shannon was killed and there was not use for her shealter anymore so they converted it into a kitchen. --LostCloverfield42 20:22, 28 June 2008 (PDT)
New Section[]
Should we creat a section about the current people who are residing at the beach camp? I know there is a section on residences but it does'nt tell who is currently living there. --LostCloverfield42 20:32, 31 May 2008 (PDT)
- As of now at the end of S4, there are very few people who are currently residing at the camp. Miles, Chalotte, Juliet, Sawyer, and some redshirts would be all. I think we could make a new section though. --CTS 20:37, 31 May 2008 (PDT)
- Rose and Bernard should still be there, too. According to the body count, there are 29 mid-section survivors still alive, not counting Aaron. If we subtract those who have escaped (Walt, Jack, Kate, Hurley, Sayid, and Sun) that leaves 23. Jin is probably dead, and Claire and Locke are not currently at the camp, so that leaves 20. (Michael is listed in the body count, so we needn't be concerned with him here.) Adding in the non-mid-section residents (Bernard, Juliet, Miles, and Charlotte) brings us up to 24 people living at the beach camp. There were at least 5 redshirts on the raft with Daniel (assuming six people on the raft), who are currently out at sea somewhere, so that leaves us with a final total of 19 residents at the end of season 4. Six of those (Sawyer, Rose, Bernard, Juliet, Miles, and Charlotte) are major characters, while the remaining 13 are redshirts. --CurlyHairedGuy 21:24, 31 May 2008 (PDT)
- Are we sure that there was only 5 redshirts were on the boat? I counted 7 that helped take the raft down to the water. Although with Daniel that would be 8, is that possible? So I guess 5 redshirts is an accurate guess. So then there is 19 People at the beach camp. --LostCloverfield42 23:39, 31 May 2008 (PDT)
- Are we sure 19 is the correct number? I'd feel more comfortable for now saying "various unnamed survivors." I don't necessarily trust that body count beyond the main cast and named guest characters ... I know Daniel had 5 or 6 on the boat with him but how are we sure how many time he ferried people across plus the accurate number of people killed at the barracks? Better safe (ambiguous) than sorry. --Jeff 21:29, 8 June 2008 (PDT)
- The correct number is "up to 21". See "Living and Dead Survivors" on List of Oceanic 815 Survivors. There are 12 unnamed background survivors who could be at the beach, plus Neil, Sullivan and Richard, bringing the total of background characters to 15. Sawyer, Rose, Bernard, Miles, Charlotte, and Juliete makes it 21 (if all 15 background characters are at the beach).--FlyingArrow 13:23, 5 July 2008 (PDT)

Destroyed Camp[]
Just wonderinf if it was worth mentioning that part of the camp was destroyed duing the Losties v. Others Battle? From what I know, Kate's tent and a background member's tent (Possibly Desmond's) were destroyed by Sayid and Bernard when they blew up some of the others. Claire's tent was being used to hide some the of dynamite (aka it was the third tent that was not blown up). Hurley also drove through a background member's tent wiht the hippy bus before he ran over Rayn. So all in all 3 tents were destroyed in the battle. That then begs someother questions, such as where did Kate stay when she got back from the Barracks? But thats a whole nother can of worms. --LostCloverfield42 21:28, 27 June 2008 (PDT)
Re-name[]
I suggest we rename to Beach Camp. It's a little more discriptive that "camp" and it is on a beach. -- LostCloverfield42 Talk 23:20, 7 July 2008 (PDT)
- Rename: This article should definitely be renamed. "Camp" is a vague term since there are numerous camps on the Island (Decoy camp, ruins camp, Tailies' camp, Rousseau's camp, etc). It is more commonly referred to as the "beach camp". "Camp" should be a disambig page. -- CTS Talk Contribs 11:58, 6 September 2008 (PDT)
- Rename -- 19:58, 6 September 2008 (PDT)
Jack's tent[]
Jack's tent can be seen in this deleted scene from Season 3. If anyone can find a screencap of his tent for the table, that would be great. -- CTS Talk Contribs 17:47, 2 December 2008 (PST)
West of the crater?[]
Is there canon evidence to support the page's current assertion that the first beach camp was west of the crater? If not, I suggest the comment be removed. £乚ב○艹Ю Zholmboe Talk 23:46, 5 August 2009 (UTC)
- No one seems to have been able to produce canon evidence. As such I will delete the assertion from the main page. £乚ב○艹Ю Zholmboe Talk 15:32, 13 August 2009 (UTC)
In The Incident parts 1 & 2 Ben is seen for the first time by the beach camp, his only time so far. Maybe he's seen more in season 6, who knows?--Station7 14:23, September 11, 2009 (UTC)
