Rename[]

I didn't nominate this, though I agree a rename is better than "Arabic man". The ABC press release didn't credit this guy at all as far as I'm aware, so we can make up our own name without the usual stickler view that we stay with what ABC press bundles call em. --Nickb123 (Talk) 16:11, 19 June 2008 (PDT)

  • While I'm not saying we should delete them (I agree to the rename), but the Blonde Casualty as well as the 3 extras who died aboard the Kahana were deleted because they were not credited. So wouldn't this guy have to be deleted because he wasn't credited? Arabic man and the casualties are all portayed by known people btw (Dakota L, Judy Chamness, etc). Plus we're giving him a "fan specualted" name. These were some points made by Santa and is why he deleted the casualties...unless I'm missing something here/confused. Hope not.--Mistertrouble189 16:31, 19 June 2008 (PDT)
My bad, he is on the ABC press release! In which case, perhaps the best bet is to go with Arabic man (Enter 77). --Nickb123 (Talk) 16:35, 19 June 2008 (PDT)
While I don't agree that using press releases to name articles is the best way, I agree that is probably the best bet. -- Sam McPherson  T  C  E  09:27, 21 June 2008 (PDT)
On second thought, this could easily get confused with Sami or someone like that, because it's too broad. -- Sam McPherson  T  C  E  16:03, 1 July 2008 (PDT)
  • I suppose there's been either a disagree or a no consensus result, so I'm taking off the banner. -- Sam McPherson  T  C  E  12:05, 2 November 2008 (PST)
  • I know there hasn't been much activity here lately, but this article really needs to be renamed to "Arab man"; "Arabic" is not an adjective, only a language. Eliwein 23:49, 26 May 2009 (UTC)
