Scene description[]
Richard returns to the spot in a grassy clearing where he buried Isabella's cross at the base of a stone seat. He digs it up. Distraught, he asks whether the Man in Black is listening to him and that he has changed his mind, that he was wrong. He calls out asking whether the offer to join him still stands.
Influences[]
The piece includes a variation on Richard's theme.
Title significance[]
The title refers to the offer the Man in Black made Richard when he first arrived on the Island.
