This page contains a summary of unconfirmed season 4 spoilers from unofficial sources. The source is mentioned for each spoiler. If spoilers repeat or expand upon earlier information, the more reputable or more complete sources are preferred. For season 4 spoilers confirmed by official sources, see Season 4.

Season 4 is confirmed to have a theme with a beginning, a middle and an end. [1]. A big difference between last season and the new one is that now we are going to see more group interaction. [2] There's a whole chapter of the story that takes place off the Island. The flashforward sequences are essentially a season-within-a-season. [3].

Note: All of the casting info that is circulated is based on extreme generalities, or in some cases, out and out deceptions by the producers.[4]. Filming is not always taking place in chronological order. [5]

10-29-07: Jorge Garcia's Weblog Jorge: As shocking as these scripts have been for us, nothing has shocked us more than the end of episode 7.
10-29-07: Hawaii Blog The production crew descended upon old Kaimuki, taking over the “Toys N Joys” store on Waialae Ave. The set crew covered up brand names and logos with random Korean art and signs. Jin was filmed running into the Korean toystore. Details of what transpired behind the store’s cluttered windows involved a big, plushy pandabear.
10-30-07: Hawaii Blog Filming took place behind the barbed wire fence of the Oahu Community Correctional Center. Overheard crew chatter touched on the arrival of Faraday.
11-01-07: Hawaii Blog A street scene appears to be the exterior counterpart to the toy store scene they filmed the day before. Jin comes running and ducks into the toystore. Later he comes out the door with the giant stuffed pandabear. He’s helping his plushy new pal into a taxi cab when a guy speeding past on a blue moped knocks his cell phone out of his hand. As he stoops to pick it up, the taxi cab takes off with someone else inside. Jin runs after the cab, yelling angrily, and to no avail. Cursing, he smashes his phone to bits on the street.

After this filming, the crew had to rush off to report to the day’s second shoot: a scene with Sun … at a funeral.

11-07-07: Ask Ausiello Carlton Cuse: "Zoe Bell definitely will make a splash."
11-12-07: Daniel Dae Kim @ My Space Daniel Dae Kim: Fans of the show will be happy to know that we're wrapping up filming on episode seven, which happens to be a Sun/Jin episode, called "Ji Yeon."

Episode 4x08

Episode 408's title is "Meet Kevin Johnson". It is rumored to be Michael-centric. It will air on April 24, 2008.

Source Spoiler
11-2-07: Greg Nations Greg Nations said that due to the strike episode #408 might become sort of the season 4 finale. "And if you were excited about what Jorge said regarding the ending of #407, wait until you see the ending of #408. Oh. My. God..."
11-12-07: Ryan at Hawaii Blogg Kewalo Basin, the small commercial harbor in Kaka’ako, was transformed into the Port of Suva, Fiji’s largest port and gateway to its capital city. It was hard to miss the huge “PORT OF SUVA” signs added to the old Kewalo Shipyard building. The freighter Kahana was docked, and a thatched-roof pavilion and Fijian tour bus stood by. A person on the boat, possibly Michael, was filmed while throwing something in the water.
11-13-07: Watch with Kristin Episode eight includes two new characters:

Gus is an "inner-city, unruly character type. He's a sketchy business owner who preys on human weaknesses. Happy to exploit any opportunity he sees"

Noreen is "Very tough on the outside, nurturing on the inside. Confronted with something from her past, she defends herself well, despite the emotional toll."

11-14-07: Ask Ausiello Cynthia Watros (Libby) and Harold Perrineau (Michael) will show up in Episode 8. They might somehow be involved in the mini cliff-hanger.
7-26-07: Comic Con San Diego Michael will probably have a redemptive story.
11-14-07: Ducky does TV Filming took place on the first floor of an empty hotel overlooking the Harbour near Waikiki Beach. They were using the swimming pool area, as well. Characters on scene were Hurley and Sun.
11-15-07: Ryan @ Hawaii Blog In Chapin Lane the crew recreated a busy street of New York. Christmas lights were strung everywhere, and people were bundled up for the winter cold. A green newsstand and a New York Yellow Cab stood nearby, as well as other older cars fitted with New York plates. Smoke machines blanketed the ground with white fog. Michael (Harold Perrineau) seemed to be the center of attention. His clean cut look suggested that this was a flashback. In a narrow alley he met Tom (M.C. Gainey). And wasn't a friendly encounter, either, involving a gun and a fistfight. The scene possibly involved a car crash.
11-18-07: GDA Harold Perrineau: "When I left the show, the idea was always that my character would come back. And I was told as well that he would be very different.
11-27-07: Ryan @ Hawaii Blog They were shooting a bunch of scenes with Harold Perrineau coming out of a NYC apartment building, getting in a green Dodge Aspen, reading some folded paper that he pulled out of his pocket, and speeding away in his car down the street. The car was also part of the earlier shoot, where the talk of a car crash was picked up.
12-5-07: Ask Ausiello Michael's reappearance in Episode 8 is guaranteed to, ahem, make waves.
12-14-07: LA Times “The audience just needs to be warned,” Cuse said. “There’s a very cool cliffhanger at the end of the eighth episode. But most of the major questions were designed to get answered at the second half of the season. ”

Walt

5-03-06: Ask Ausiello

1-31-07: Entertainment Weekly

  • Cuse: There's a circularity to the way the story of Michael and Walt is going to unfold in the overall mythology, and that is a long-planned approach.

4-30-07: Official Podcast

  • The Others targeted Walt because they are interested in children with special abilities. This will be explored in the next episodes.

07-30-07: Watch with Kristin

10-01-07: SciFi-Wire

  • Damon Lindelof: "We've always known Malcolm was going to grow faster than we could shoot the show. And we planned for it. Trust us. Please trust us."

12-07-07: Sci Fi

  • Damon Lindelof "You'll see Walt again. But you're going to have to be patient. Sorry."

Libby

11-15-06: Ask Ausiello

  • Damon: "Obviously, we have a couple more beats of Libby’s story to tell to fill in the missing pieces, and the way we would tell that story is in the flashbacks of another character. But that character can’t be a character that we already know and love, otherwise they would recognize Libby. We know who those characters are and what those story beats are, but it might be a while before we get to their flashbacks."

1-31-07: Watch with Kristin

  • Cuse: Given everything else we have to tell, Libby’s story is going to be a mystery that's going to have to get answered in season 4.
  • Lindelof: There's really one significant missing piece to Libby's story. How did she get from A to B — from Desmond to the mental institution? We know the answer to that question, but the only way to tell that story is through another character's flashback, and that character would have to be another character on the show who is not among the beach dwellers.

7-26-07: Comic Con San Diego

  • The theory that Libby was Dharma is NOT "barking up the wrong tree"

9-20-07: Ausiello

  • Carlton Cuse confirmed that Cynthia Watros will be playing Hurley's dearly departed sweetheart Libby again this season for multiple episodes, presumably in more flashbacks.

11-18-07: GDA

  • Elizabeth Mitchell: "There are still lots of people left to die. There are many deaths... people exploding and things like that.

12-19-07: Ask Ausiello
