Episode 7's title is Not in Portland, and is to be Juliet-centric

  • According to her official site [3] Kimberly Estrada is to guest star as Sherry in Episode 7.
  • In a recent Entertainment Weekly, a scene from a February episode is described as Juliet "pump[ing] two bullets into someone shocking, the still standing are left gasping as she coldly lowers the gun."
  • According to "Ask Ausiello" (10-17/06), Juliet will get the first flashback out of the gate when Lost returns from Winter hiatus in February.

Episode 8

Episode 8 is speculated to be Desmond-centric

  • 11/14/06-According the TV Guide casting call, Fionnula Flanagan, best known for her role in 2001's The Others as the creepy housekeeper, will appear in an upcoming episode of Season 3. Producers confirm that she will portray someone very close to Desmond, hinting that she may play his mother.

Episode 9 is speculated to be Jack-centric

  • According to Spoilerfix [4] Chinese actress Bai Ling is guest starring in a Jack-centric Bangkok based episode.
  • An interview with Damon Lindelof at Kristin on E!Online, there will be a flashback which fully explains the significance of all Jack's tattoos, and puts it into the framework of what was happening in his life when he got them. It is predicted this will be episode 9.

  • In a recent interview with TV Guide, Henry Ian Cusick made note of Desmond's carpentry skills and stated that this unique ability will play a pivotal role later in Season 3.

  • Season 3 will return on February 7 for sixteen more episodes, which means this season will have 22 episodes - one less than Season 2.
  • In an address to "Casa del Cinema di Roma" in Italy, Damon Lindelof announced that he and JJ Abrams had initially conceived the LOST story-arc in 4 seasons. If ABC were to continue with Lost for a 5th season, both Lindelof and Abrams would possibly leave. [11] (source in Italian).
    • At Comic-Con in San Diego 2006, Cuse & Lindelof claimed that the show will last at least 4 seasons, PROBABLY 5 seasons, and may or may not end with a feature-length movie (they were unsure of how it all would be capped). [12]

  • According to Swedish TV-magazines, there will be some sort of power struggle among the remaining Losties regarding the new leadership.
  • From the Comic-Con convention that some of the producers, including Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse, the following information was gathered:
    • An event will happen mid-season that will blow people's minds!
    • We'll see more scenes from the outside world (taking place at the same time they are on the island).
    • Within the first few episodes Kate "gets with someone".
    • They are going to explain the medical miracles.
    • The hieroglyphs on the countdown clock are signs of the underworld.

  • The monster will definitely be back in season 3.
  • Libby will be appear in the flashbacks of other characters in Season 3, much like how Christian Shephard has. At Comic Con, it was also stated that mysteries surrounding her character will also be explored.
  • On the official Lost Podcast it was said that Neil Frogurt will become a more pivotal character and have flashbacks.
  • Kimberley Joseph will return to her role as Cindy.
  • Maggie Grace will reappear in Season 3, most probably in flashbacks of other characters[17].
