Saïd Taghmaoui portrayed Caesar in Season 5.

The IMDb website states that Saïd Taghmaoui was born July 19th 1973 in Villepinte, Seine-Saint-Denis, France, to Moroccan immigrant parents. He has 9 siblings. He dropped out of school at a young age and became a boxer; at one point ranking number 2 in France in his category. He met Mathieu Kassovitz with whom he co-wrote the 1995 French film "La Haine" which won the Best Director award in Cannes. Kassovitz directed the movie in which Saïd played one of the leads. Since then Saïd has been a force in French cinema and has made films in Italy, Germany, The United States and Morocco. He portrayed the militant Captain Martyr Mahmud in the 2008 German movie "Mogadischu" about the hijacking of Lufthansa Flight 181. He also starred in the T.V serie Sleeper Cell, along with Sonya Walger and Thekla Reuten.

  • He also portrayed a member of the Iraqi military in the 1999 film Three Kings. At one point in the film, there is a particularly graphic scene in which he tortures Mark Wahlberg's character.
  • He starred in the film adaption, G.I. Joe: The Rise of the Cobra, which also starred Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje.
  • Said also starred in Anton Corbijn's new film "Linear" which accompanies the new U2 album, No Line on the Horizon.
  • Saïd Taghmaoui was asked to return for season 6, but had to turn it down due to film obligations.[1]
