He then confronts the Man in Black, who responds to Richard that "it's good to see you out of those chains." Richard. now realizing his identity, replies "You?!" The Man in Black responds "Me," and knocks Richard out, hoisting him onto his shoulder. He turns to the rest of the Others and shouts angrily that he is "very disappointed with all of you," before making his way past the real John Locke's body.

"Richard the Floored" is an orchestral piece from the Season 6 soundtrack.

Scene description

Ben and the Man in Black leave the statue. The remaining Others lift their guns to shoot, but Richard stops them. He then confronts the Man in Black, who responds to Richard, saying, "it's good to see you out of those chains". Richard, now realizing the Man in Black's identity, replies, "You?!". The Man in Black responds, "Me", and knocks Richard out, hoisting him onto his shoulder. He turns to the rest of the Others and shouts angrily that he is "very disappointed with all of you", before making his way past the real John Locke's body.

Title significance

The Man in Black's appearance floors, or surprises Richard, and he then literally sends him to the floor. The title may also reference Richard IV.
