R.G.

  2. More appropriate for another article.
  3. Illogical or previously disproven.
  4. Proven by canon source, and moved to main article.
  5. Speculative and lacking any evidence to support arguments.
  6. Responding to another theory (use discussion page instead).
  • This does not include responses that can stand alone as its own theory.
  • Usage of an indented bullet does not imply the statement is a response.

Identity

  • Regina, which suggests that Naomi may be a lesbian. It is highly unlikely that Regina is Naomi's sister because according to Miles, Naomi doesn't have a sister.
  • The Economist
  • Mrs. Gardner
  • Elsa appeared to be wearing a similar bracelet. Given that she was double-crossing Sayid, Elsa might not be her real name. Perhaps Elsa's demanding boss, who Sayid is sent to kill, is also Naomi's boss. Sayid also said in this episode, "we all have a boss"
  • R.G. is no one. The phrase on the bracelet is a code which identifies her to certain other members of her organization. Possibly, Only individuals with a certain rank or role in the organization wear one: Elsa wore a bracelet like it for the same reason.
    • Alternatively, the phrase on the bracelet is simply meaningless and a cover-up for the true meaning, and it's the bracelet itself that is important.
  • R.G stands for Republican Guard, of which we know Sayid was a member of.
    • Therefore: "Naomi, I will always be with you. Republican Guard." Doubtful
  • Roderick - from Manchester, like Naomi
  • Ruth - In the Bible, Naomi is the mother-in-law to Ruth, and Ruth once said to her, "whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God" (Ruth 1:8,16) which, if simplified, is similar to the sentiment on the bracelet.
  • Goodwin - Given the freighter people's interest in the non-815 islanders (Desmond, Ben), and Goodwin's possible military history (not to mention the history of romantic entanglement), he could easily have enough in common with Naomi to be R.G.
  • The fact that "Naomi" is represented by the single initial "N" (assuming that the bracelet was, in fact, intended for her and not something she acquired by other means) and that the other individual involved uses two initials "RG," we can theorize in two directions: a)This was not a romantic attachment. If Naomi goes by "N," only her first name, why would her lover go by first and last name? That's not very intimate. (Would you say something to your spouse/significant other like, "Mary, I will always be with you, John Smith"?) b) "RG" does not signify a first and last name, but a first and middle name, or two first names intended to be used together (like "MJ" for "Mary Jane").
