*Regina, RG could stand for ReGina. Regina would have had Naomi's bracelet engraved so that she would "always be with her" when Naomi was on missions.

**Regina could be Naomi's lover/partner.

*RG stands for initials (like "Robert Grant") or for two names (like "Mary Jane" or "Billy Jo").

Regina, a radio operator on the Kahana, who allegedly killed herself due to temporal displacement, but did not show any of the symptoms (nosebleed, consciousness lapse), and may have killed herself out of grief.
*RG is Naomi's romantic interest, for Naomi's job involves her being away for long times, thus her lover engraves the bracelet to remind her that they are together - emotionally.

**Elsa could be wearing the same bracelet as Sayid could have given it to her. He could have taken it from Naomi's dead body. It appears that he shows a bit of interest in taking Naomi's body home after he sees the bracelet.

Ray
***Elsa's demanding boss ("the economist") who Sayid is sent to kill, is also Naomi's boss. Sayid also said in this episode, "We all have a boss."

***Lindelof states in this week's Entertainment Weekly that there is no connection betwen the bracelets worn by Naomi and Elsa (Elsa's bracelet is "just a bracelet").

R.G. is no one. The phrase on the bracelet is a code which identifies her to certain other members of her organization. We know the organization use codes, such as "Tell my sister I love her". Alternatively, the phrase on the bracelet is simply meaningless and a cover-up for the true meaning, and it's the bracelet itself that is important.

Biblical Naomi
* Goodwin Stanhope - Given the freighter people's interest in the non-815 islanders (Desmond, Ben), and Goodwin's possible military history (not to mention the history of romantic entanglement), he could easily have enough in common with Naomi to be R.G.

  +
Since the subplot was dropped, mystery behind the name and the bracelet as a whole is gone. One could surmise that the bracelet is a nod towards Naomi's biblical counterpart. In the bible, Naomi's sons and husband die and her-daughter-in-law, Ruth, refuses to leave her. Obviously, "R" would always be with "N". The "G" would have to be a surname.
**Goodwin is his middle name - his first starts with R, ie. Robert Goodwin.

  +
*Ray, the doctor on the freighter.

*Captain Gault, whose first name is currently unknown.

*R.G is Regina. She throws herself off the boat when she learns of Naomi's death.

**That is not why Regina jumped off the boat. The captain said that it was because of being so close to the island. Many crew member were suffering, Regina was just a "red shirt" to show the effects of the sickness that the island caused.

*R.G. is Ben. Ben is known to have many names and to lie to many people. The fact that they were going to capture Ben from the Island sounds like a motive for Naomi to want to come to the Island. Ben could've tricked her into getting what he wanted (big shocker there!) and he gave her the bracelet as proof that he "loved her".

*R.G. is Elsa. Which is not her real name. Elsa and Naomi are life partners and use a bracelet to mark their relationship.

*Naomi meets Miles outside the home of Howard Grey after Miles attempts to contact Howard's son, Russell Gray. R.G. could be Russell Grey. Perhaps Naomi has some connection with the Grey's or the drunk driver who caused Russell's death.

*R.G. is no one important. It was put in to show that Sayid realizes Naomi was not just a faceless mercenary and she had people who loved her, just like Sayid, hence why he pushed so hard to get her on the helicopter.

The Tattoo that reads "RG"

Biblical Naomi

Since the subplot was dropped, mystery behind the name and the bracelet as a whole is gone. One could surmise that the bracelet is a nod towards Naomi's biblical counterpart. In the bible, Naomi's sons and husband die and her-daughter-in-law, Ruth, refuses to leave her. Obviously, "R" would always be with "N". The "G" would have to be a surname.

We were supposed to find out, but the subplot was dropped

 • Originally, the identity of R.G. was supposed to be a mystery, due to the fact that several crew members on the Kahana had forenames starting with R (Ray, Regina) or surnames starting with G (Captain Gault). However, the subplot was ultimately deemed unimportant to the story and dropped.
